They just announced the port shutdown again -- per Coast Guard orders.  That's not a good way to start a holiday cruise ...

Reports are that Beyond is dropping her lines and intends to move within 15 minutes.

I guess what Beyond intends won't happen -- the port is still closed due to weather according to the radio ...

Eurodam now set for 2015 departure and Rotterdam 2045. Port closure to be reviewed in 30 minutes.

I wasn't expecting a port closure.  It's been horrible weather but I saw nothing to make me think it would close a port.

Oh my...Rotterdam is scheduled for 10:15, and Eurodam is scheduled for 10:45.

Currently on the rotterdam. No movement, captain is no longer giving us updates as it's getting late. Cpt said that the beyond had some issue that wasn't allowing them to leave, which boxed us in. Hopefully, 10:15 comes to pass and we can head out! 🙏

This is actually dad, my mom and my sister's family and friends...  I was FaceTiming with them as they were leaving and watching this webcam video live as they were leaving....  Of course, I'm stuck up here in Boston... 😁

Good luck with that.  I was on deck on the Rotterdam when she picked up the pilot this morning and am exhausted.

 

I'm trying to think, is Beyond backwards today.  I thought that Orange thingie was on the dock side not towards the webcam.
