This is the first leg 7 days for $48. We’ll have to do it again for the next leg for another $48. Mscwifi.com needs a ID # from your key card to log on.

That’s very reasonable. I wonder if it will be the same on Divina. We’re not in YC but have the “all in drinks and WiFi browse only for 2 devices”. Also on for 14 days starting Friday.

Walking past the Loft Cafe this morning, the door was propped open and our Cruise Director, Gene Young was giving a Q & A coffee talk with his assistant. He stated he is the first American CD for MSC. He came from Carnival Corp and worked 20 years for Holland America. It was advertised and he even reminded the ship of this 'talk' on the public address system an hour before the talk. It was attended by 6 passengers. Very informative and am sorry I did not get there earlier. Probably one of the better events that should never be missed. A foreign passenger complained that they 'missed' not having the announcement on the PA broadcasted in 5 languages. He corrected her and said its MSC policy to broadcast the announcements in 6 languages. However MSC America determined for the ships based in the American market the announcements will be limited to English only.

More from CD Gene Young. That MSC is one of the very few (Viking being the other) cruise companies that carries very little debt on its balance sheet and being a family run operation decisions are made very quickly. For instance the decision to move the Seashore to the Brazilian market and the Seaside to be based out of Canaveral. That NCL has offered itself to be purchased by MSC and that MSC refused. MSC would rather build new ships and keep their ship building operations going well into the future.

Overheard a guest complaining to concierge that the spa is overbooked. Concierge replied it is just better to expect such on sea days.  I guess there are some staff shortages outside the confines of the Yacht Club still. At the 'talk' CD said the same was occurring with finding talent to play all the cruise lines as well and that MSC is training its own production staff. I asked Mr. Young why the daily program no longer lists what entertainment will be performing in the Le Cabaret Rouge. He said because the venue is not big enough to accommodate the crowd that would show up. That the venue seats 450, but only 150 get the best viewing seats. The Chora theatre seats about 1000 and we had 3 shows last night and each was packed. So the Le Cabaret Rouge will be hit or miss from now on. The Boy Band was just brought on for this cruise.

Well, it appears the YC has interlopers. DW was just carded. The seafood extravaganza is just hours away and it appears others are allowing friends and family in that do not belong.

It is now warmer outside than it is inside the ship. Had to come outside to warm up. Tonight is Gala night. Live music at Uptown Lounge begins at 6pm, 3 show times in Chora Theatre, live music in Loft begins at 8 pm , and more live entertainment in Le cabaret Rouge begins at 10 pm. We have to fit dinner in too.

Comparing the theatre shows on MSC Seashore to Celebrity Beyond. Found these stage productions on Beyond a modern through back to the 19th century. Absolutely no story line, just a lot of singing , dancing and acrobatics. Christopher Caggiano "It might surprise you to learn that for a long time — during most of the 19th century — songs and dances in musical productions were primarily decorative. The songs in the show may have been (inserted) standards or other popular songs of the day, regardless of whether or not they made any sense in the story. The dances may have been there to take up stage time, provide a mindless diversion, or give patrons their money’s worth in both eye candy and production value." https://dramatics.org/spark-of-creation/. MSC's had a story to follow, not anymore. The production shows are similar to Celebrity Beyond and no longer as good as Seashore.

Here is an 11 second video sample from tonights show "Dreamscape".

The shops are a little low on products. Supply chain? No "Pringles" on board, no Chupa suckers,  no sweatshirts nor logo jackets. Last night received 2 chocolate ships. Butler said this is the first cruise to get chocolate ships. Came on one plate under glass with macaroons. Asked butler to find the gift box that usually come with the chocolate ship. Supply chain?

P.S. There were lobster tails at the seafood extravaganza buffet lunch, which were missing on the Seashore in October.
