A cruise to many Saints...

Currently in Galveston - staying at a brand new Home 2 Suites. I think opened Dec 1 - I booked many months before that for half of the current rate. I think it is well worth it.  It seems to be combined with a Tru - both by Hilton. I was pleasantly surprised to find there is a bar connected to the hotel (although I think operated independently). If you go there, ask for Sawyer. 🙂

Aloha.  Hoping you have a great voyage. as a previous poster stated the itinerary looks fantastic with sea days to break it up. Looking forward to your updates and as I always say…food pictures lol 😂

Thank you. It was amazing.The hotel is right on Seawall Blvd (across from the Gulf of Mexico). Less than 3 miles to the port.

I don't think either at the moment, but you could contact the hotel and ask. I think the hotel is set up more for people vacationing in Galveston and not cruisers

Since I barely have time to unpack, do laundry, begin tax prep, and repack (not to mention some fencing work, and whatever else was added to the list) before the flight to the next cruise, this may be a spotty review.

 

First meal on the ship was from Guy's and it was tasty as always, with toasted buns perfectly sized for the beef.

There was Funfetti Cake, but oddly pint sized. They claimed it was the same, which it clearly wasn't. But taste was good. I think German Chocolate was available everyday.

Assorted swag. They had leftover assorted pins freely handed out (while supplies lasted).

Love Carnival’s German Chocolate Cake.   Good luck with getting everything done in time for your next adventure.  Color me jealous.

An interesting choice for a Cove Balcony. A lovely view of people boarding, but not an issue at sea or any other time before final debarkation. No life boat above, though.
