Our Tortola excursion is scheduled for the wrong day too.  It’s weird because I printed out the edocs on Monday and it show up fine.  But, on Tuesday my brother noticed it was wrong on the app and the online edocs.  I checked, and sure enough it’s wrong on my app and on the website too.  I called NCL shore excursions on Thursday and they assured me that they were aware of the problem and it would be fixed in a day or two.

I hope so, I was looking forward to Tortola, I feel that some of the people that answer the phone don’t know.  I just hung up with someone and she literally read the website to me lol. Let’s hope for the best!

Also the part that made me more curious was that literally there are no excursions on the website able to be booked on Tortola Day.  I can’t imagine the excursion of ‘Take a selfie on the beach” was booked! Lmao, it is just weird.  But regardless super excited!!!  Are you guys in the haven?

Thought I would share my thoughts of our current cruise on the Encore.   This is my second time on the Encore and like 10th NCL cruise.

Thank you so much for this! My husband and I are sailing on the Encore March 5 and it's our first cruise. We've been rabidly researching and soak up all the info and advice we can get. Thankfully I prebooked excursions and specialty dining - just hope we can get into Choir of Man. Love the info and thanks again!

Just a repeat question since I didn't see a response to my earlier post.  Are bathrobes still available for balcony staterooms?  Thank you!

Just off the Encore, stayed in balcony.  No, bathrobes are not provided.

We really loved the Encore. Better than Joy, Getaway, Breakaway, Gem, Pearl - in our opinion- due to bar in observation lounge, smoke free main casino, and Los Lobos.

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the Encore.  You don’t happen to have copies of the dailies to share, do you?  Thank you.

Thank you for posting! I think I can survive with the changes. I'm glad my favorites are still available. Honestly, it looks like the only change is the NY Strip for the Delmonico. I'm glad to see the special request language is still at the bottom of the menu. Then again, I see the pork chop is no longer a tomahawk, but a double cut pork chop (whatever the hell that is). I suppose I'll be posting on how I feel about that change next month.

The restaurant is one of the primary reasons we book Haven, so this is why I was so keen to see what changes occurred. My blood pressure has dropped back to normally high levels. 🙂

The porkchop was still the Tomahawk style chop.( sorry about the colour, it was taken outside )

It was delicious

In my experience, you can ask for a bathrobe and one will be provided.

Just checked the app and everything looks right now.  My Tortola excursion is back on the correct day.

If you have a chance, can you check on the availability of premium plus beverages?

We are on Encore in March, and are wanting to purchase.

My son was on the Encore last week. He had the premium plus package. He said the selection of premium plus options was excellent. The two champagnes available by the bottle were Veuve Cliquot and Moët Chandon. He had Starbucks everyday. The District Brew House had a good supply of Chimay beer. I guess it depends on what you drink. We were on the Bliss two weeks ago and our go to drink was Veuve with a touch of Chambord. Make sure you tell your servers in the restaurants upfront that you would like bottled water,  before they instinctively fill your glass with ice water.

I think the Shorex credits with Free at Sea promos, and number of port changes (e.g., DR), are really impacting the number of pre-booked ship excursions lately.

Beau is not our jam, but I guess I understand why they keep him when so many like him.

Once on board, is it necessary to make reservations for the Comedy Club and the Cavern Club, or are those venues that you just show up early to get a seat?

Get reservations for the comedy club as soon as you board.  That said, there's always a standby line, and from what I saw, even though the line snaked into the atrium, everyone in standby got in.

As for the Cavern Club, it's a stand-in-line to enter venue.  No reservations.

Thank you so much for the fast reply! I am unfamiliar with having to make reservations for shows, and would hate to miss out on those.

Our granddaughter was on the Encore for the January 22 cruise and unfortunately they had reservations for the comedy club but by mistake they got into the standby line and they couldn't get in. Fortunately they did have reservations for another night and got in for that show.

I need to make a mention of Beau Tahana the performer in the District Brewhouse …….  Absolutely downright bloody amazing!!!   As I said I have been on a few NCL cruises and no-one has preformed like Beau.  The place was jammed and the music was great.

We also love Beau but sadly we just heard his contract is up at the end of this month so he won’t be on the Encore in March when we sail again.
