There are cruise lines who give levels of play & tag those players according to their   times & amounts they play for free perks or free  cabins .So does any one know if HAL's casino operation places levels on people who gamble for the free cabins or free perks aboard?

TIA

As far as I can tell they don't have tiers like, say, Sapphire/Pearl/Gold etc. What happens for my husband is he receives a written offer in the cabin on the last night for a next cruise with perks based on his play. This early offer is usually the best offer. Then, periodically during the year we will receive other casino offers of various values.

Same here. I found that the price for my next cruise at the end of this March was a casino rate, as per the agent on the phone when I booked.

That is very interesting that your husband receives the best offer the last night of the cruise . That tells me yes they are actively monitoring play .We have heard that  the slot play gets more attention than say table play ;which also makes sense as the slots are the best payback to the house  in any casino .just look at the sq footage dedicated to slots vs the sq footage dedicated to table fames

not yet, but i got a survey from them on how to make the casino players experience better and more rewarding so I would expect some changes soon, questions were geared to a status level platform like they have at MGM and Caesars

Yes they do have tiers. They do not call them out. You need to look at the lower left hand corner when your cabin card is activated in the slot machine. The purple tier is 50,000 points and above. I am not sure the breakdown for the yellow tier. 10,000 to 49,999 points possibly. Silver is the lowest tier. You get 1 point for every $2 put in the slot machine. On my last 7 day cruise I had a little over 90,000 points.

You spent $45k on slots?

I didn't spend $45,000 on slots. I actually rolled $180,000 thru the slot machines as you get 1 point for every $2 you put in. Obviously you don't lose on every spin. I hit some jackpots and did decent on the blackjack table. The Neptune Suite was comped by the casino. I lost less than the cost of the NS if I had to pay for it so to me I came out ahead.

Wondering if they track your points from cruise to cruise.  Like if we spent a bunch on 1 cruise does that carry over to the next cruise?  Or is it tracked for just the cruise you are on?  I know on our last cruise, I got an offer much better than my husband did.  I just happened to win a bit on the 1st day & used that to gamble on.  So hubby spent more of his own $ than I did.

Casino offerings are very confusing to say the least  . imo no one really knows how they figure &  on what basis do they send out rewards for casino players .all I know when you play in a cruise line casino ,the average player loses Same with any land based casino . There are only 2 games now that the player has a chance of wining .One is craps & the other is single deck 21 with good paluers at the table

I agree that the casino offerings are confusing. I don't play the tables (yet) and only play the slots when my wife is napping (about an hour a day). I only play for recreation and as such I don't bet big. I have received casino offers from HAL, Carnival, and Princess. Prior to receiving the offer from Princess I had only cruised with them once for 3 days. At times I lose, sometimes I win, but I always come out ahead due to the discounted rates. A word to the wise, publishing the discounted rates is probably the best way to get kicked off the list.
