This won't work since your room number shows up as caller ID.

Also, we usually disconnect the cabin phone and put it in the closet to have more desk space.

Our experience was many years ago.  Didn't even know you COULD disconnect the phone nowadays.  Guess if this happens to us it will be a sticky note on the door!

When I see a pile of dirty dishes in the hall outside a cabin, I’ll always push the dishes back directly in front of and up against the offender’s door. 
Otherwise wheelchair access down the hallway is compromised.
