hope you are rested and enjoying part 2..Key West can be fun to walk aroubd..esp the stylized houses and bldgs.

The kids club  activities look great.  our grandsons age 3 and 7  would be happy.   Their parents are looking at an expensive Disney cruise in the future but maybe after that they might consider X, which they generally prefer over Royal C..

After lunch and walking, it was time for a power 😴…..

Just tired and ready for a little downtime😝

Today’s canapés arrived

Tonight is the captain’s club party. 19.45 in Sky lounge.

We won’t see tonight’s show.

It’s the same as last cruise.

We are very happy for ensemble lounge. But since covid, we have stayed away…

So tonight we kicked off the evening by live music 🎶 and glass of wine.

Captain’s club event was as scheduled. Drinks, canapés etc.

Top cruisers was a couple, 50 cruises, 4000 points.

Captain announced the employees of the month, March.

After the party, it was time for dinner.

Today’s service was smooth as silk compared to yesterday.

Lots of tables in our area was empty.

But the service and everything was more as expected.

We had:

Baby mizuna Salad

As we were leaving dinner in mdr yesterday, we walked behind a Norwegian couple. They were around my parents age.

We said 👋🏻 hello

We had a little chat with them before we retired to bed.

It was their first sailing ever on a cruise (not counting Color Line Oslo-Kiel or Dfds to Copenhagen)

They were a little overwhelmed by the “Russeparty» (Google Russ Norway)  The first day…. And why it was lots of families and small children.

They had read and googled different cruise lines and this was supposed to be a bit more quiet….😝

We told them that this is a short cruise, so it’s definitely a younger version of guests sailing and due to Easter holiday weekend, it’s very tempting for families.

So hopefully they can see thru this sailing and give it a go on a 7-n in the future😉

Fingers crossed they will enjoy our sea day 🥰

We slept longer then normal today…

Didn’t wake up before 08.30. And Mr was dead until 09.00😝

We had breakfast in Spa Café. The banana bagels and the avocado tomato sandwich is always a winner for me🙌🏻🥰

It wasn’t crowded and no problem to get a table.

The line to Al Bacio on the other hand was loooong🙈 But it moved quickly and they did a excellent service.

We attended the concierge port-talk 10.00 in the meeting room.

We are going to a new port of call for us AND a new country😁🙌🏻🤩 🇧🇸

It was informative and excellent for what we needed to know😎

We are booked on a guided walk in the city centre in the morning. 1.5h.

So we will bring towels and swim wear😎

After the event….

You know what activity I did😝

Out for a walk🏃‍♀️ Pink light was out and about on the jogging track💃🏻

Decent walk for 2 hours.

They had volleyball in the pool and officers vs guests.

Crew was walking beverage trolley’s , serving fruit snacks and keeping everyone happy🙌🏻😎🥰

After a little change of clothes, mr wanted to have lunch.

Spa cafe was closing, so buffet or mast grill😎 So buffet, Mr favourite it is🥰🙌🏻🤩😁

One happy camper had some Indian fish and some roast of today😎

I went for caprese salad and some sourdough bread 🥖

The selection for lunch service is good. It’s something for everyone. (Only thing I’m missing is more fish) but for the majority/non fish/seafood eaters, it’s excellent.

After enjoying lunch on the terrace and some ice cream for dessert.

We walked out to pool deck. Lucky us, it was a cabana bed available😎

Perfect for a dip and relaxing in the semi shade🥰☀️

It’s 17.00 and the pools are still packed. There’s so many families onboard.

It’s very different for us on X. Not in a bad way, but just very different compared to what we are used to.

It feels more like a royal cruise.

You know it’s not the average X cruisers onboard🙈🙈🙈 people are walking around carrying their own private speakers and listen to their own music for everyone around😝🎶

We went downstairs around 17.45.

Today’s canapés had arrived

Still no delivery of last weeks cruise cards… Hopefully they will be in the mail box tomorrow😇 (we collect them)

Tonight’s show is Matthew McGurk, the illusion show from last sailing. So we are passing on today’s show.

So it’s a slow evening chic rhythm for us😉

We went down to Ensemble lounge 18.45. It was a classic string duo playing.

Very happy for the crew and live music🎶

At 20.00 it was time for a big flight in the martini bar🍸🍸🍸🍸

And after a perfect big flight it’s was time for senior officers presentation in Grand Foyer.

❤️ X it’s just how it’s done🙌🏻

If there is one thing I learned from your review, is NOT to take a cruise during Spring Break.  I would be irritated as I don't like to cruise with a lot of kids.

Spring break can encompass a long period of time from about the beg of March until about mid April depending on where you live in the country.  Looks like these short cruises and over a holiday attract many more families adding a cruise to their Disney holiday while in FL and locals looking for a short cruise.

A story I can recall from about 2002 when we had teen and college kids.  We took a spring break cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas to Mexico from Long Beach CA. At one of the shows there were two older couples sitting behind us.  When talking with them before the show we mention what a bummer it must be for them  having selected  a cruise with so many kids on board.  Their comment was “they were enjoying having youth bring energy and vibrance to the cruise instead of just a bunch of old people sitting around”

These little portable speakers drive us wild!    Think it is very rude to make everyone subjected to have to listen to them.  Where are the steel drums when you need them!!

Tonight’s dinner was good. Except for one dessert…. (The kitchen went off duty😝)

Crew is very on the  ball. Lina is spot on and Glory is in the zone. So nothing wrong in service from them.

We had

baby leaf salad

Invitation for helipad departure

On a B2B we had on Reflection in December 2021 we experienced a helipad arrival and a departure at Nassau.  Both times we got lucky and had a pod of dolphins escort use in the area around the lighthouse on the point at the harbor entrance.  Try and get as far forward along the rail as you can and maybe you'll get lucky and get some pictures.

Really curious what our 4/15 cruise will be like.   It's on the edge of Spring Break and only 7 days -  This ship is almost completely sold out so expecting lots of kids.

Today’s program was the walking tour from the ship.

It’s a small group tour, so 10 guests booked today.

Tickets said meeting time 8.15 on the pier.

Our guide had to bring a group to a beach break tour. So he took us to the police station and walked the beach group before he returned to pick us up.

So our tour didn’t walk off officially before 09.15…

So a long wait🙈 very safe waiting area😂😂🇧🇸

Back to the tour🙂

The tour went to the stairs and the fortress. It was a 1.5h tour. Our guide was fun and a perfect first visit way to start our Nassau adventure.

We had packed our backpack. Ready to walk to the beach from our tour.

So off we walked for Juncano beach.

We walked all the way to the end of the beach. The majority of the guests stopped in the area close to the hotels.

So a big private beach for us and 3 locals on Easter family tour.

Perfect😎🏖️

The local beer 🍺 had to be tasted… So as the good wife I am…. I picked up some colds on the way to the beach🥰

At 13.00 we decided it was time to return to the ship.

Since we wanted to enjoy the sail in to Nassau, we had breakfast on the terrace in OceanView 07.00….

Perfect timing before the crowd arrived and we had perfect view for our docking/Atlantis.

We dropped off our bags and freshened up before we went up in the buffet for lunch.

After lunch, it was time to start the packing…. No one loves that🥺 But it needs to be fixed….

So Mr in the shower and his butler takes care of the rest😜

At 18.50 we decided it was time to head downstairs.
