Hi, can anyone tell me where I vape on the Star thank you

Vaping is considered cigarette smoking and is only allowed on Deck 13, port side forward. Also, if you are actively gambling, you can vape in the casino. Smoking/Vaping is not allowed anywhere else on the ship.

You can smoke in all of the smoking areas on any NCL ships whether you are smoking tobacco or liquid nicotine.  It is all the same except the liquid form is much more harmful to one's health.  Enjoy!

The NHS supports vaping over cigarette smoking, so this doesn't surprise me. The ship does allow vaping of non-cannabis products in the designated smoking sections. I don't think you will be questioned if you are in a smoking area, but if the vape is CBD, it could be problematic in some countries while ashore.

Check the laws of the countries you are going to. When in port or on shore you are subject to their laws. Some countries have full bans, some have bans strictly on nicotine products, and some countries have other restrictions like the legal age to vape, etc. You can see a map at https://www.statista.com/chart/19475/global-electronic-cigarette-laws/

I would take a copy of the prescription or the original packaging of the vape product so you can prove it's not a nicotine vape if you are going to Turkey, Australia, most of South America, etc. where the laws prohibit it. Or just limit your vaping to on board.

1st vaping IS smoking.

2nd vaping is not 'preferred', 'supported', or 'less dangerous' if one is vaping (smoking) a substance that contains liquid nicotine.

3rd no one "supports: either of these dangerous activities.

I'm not trying to get into an argumnet here just stating facts.

CBD actually is on the NCL Prohibited Items list.

The NHS, the health agency of the country the OP comes from,  does recommend vaping nicotine for smokers over smoking cigarettes.

"Nicotine vaping is substantially less harmful than smoking. It's also one of the most effective tools for quitting smoking."

The only concern I would have is if you are using a refillable "vape mod" (that's what we call them here in the US; not sure of where you are). They are usually provided by independent, non-big-tobacco companies that make them for vapers. Because they are not pre-packaged e-cigarettes, I would be careful in with it ashore. If it looks different to the local authorities you could get hassled. I don't think you'll have a problem on board, as Americans (who fill most of these cruises) are familiar with them.

Tobacco and Marijuana are also natural.

Anyway, as others have stated, you'll only be able to vape in the smoking sections on your ship.

https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/smoking

On Jewel and Star Class ships and Norwegian Spirit:

The designated smoking areas for cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, pipe smoking and vapor smoking devices are permitted on deck 13 forward port side.

You can also vape in the casino, where the smoking is allowed.

Since you use it for medical purposes, that should be easy enough for you to go to the smoking section for the vape.

the NHS s not infallible. it's the same agency responsible for the alder hey organs scandal, the bristol heart scandal and the stafford hospital scandal.

they were, at best, imprecise in the language they used in their vaping "recommendation."

it's absolutely true that vaping is considered by many to be 'safer" than smoking tobacco cigarettes, but - to their credit - the NHS also state that vaping is "not completely harmless" and that you should also eventually stop vaping. in other words, they recommend vaping not as a safe alternative to smoking cigarettes, but as an interim way to stop smoking cigarettes.

the vapor emitted while vaping does include cancer causing chemicals, ultrafine particulate matter ad heavy metals such as nickel, tin, and lead.

Not illegal everywhere

It's illegal on all ships per international maritime law, as well as the laws of many countries, including the Bahamas, where the Norwegian Star is registered.

It's also still illegal under (US) federal law.
