Patti heads to El Hideaway which is at the very end of the beach. This is where the ship’s crew like to hang out. This is the venue that supplies the cabanas with drinks and food…..

That's one of the negatives of the XL Class. There aren't many good seats in the Center Stage area. 😎

First, we would look into all-inclusive resorts, but if all else fails we don't mind hanging out with the commoners. :classic_biggrin:

How much was the cabana before it went to $500? There must have been a huge demand for them if Carnival can get $500 now.

Next time we may look at the lagoon area instead.  It literally took me an hour to get a beer.

I believe we paid $340, and they would sell out quickly. Now at $500 they aren't selling as quick. :classic_cool:

Yep when he brought it said too late went and got my own.  He used the excuse he could not find me.  Said never moved and neither did this tree I am next too🙄

@Jamman54......WOW $500 for a cabana, does that include food and beverage?  That's out of my budget for sure even if it included food and beverage.

 

I see the flying chairs are up to $15 for adults now, I remember when they were $10.  We always walk as I love taking pics of the flowers.

 

Carnival has commercialized Mahogany Bay since it first  opened, but it is a great beach day for sure!

It was interesting that the cabanas for Amber Cove for our upcoming Celebration cruise were all sold out when the prices were in the $300 range.  Now that they've raised the rates to nearly $500, the hillside and beach cabanas are suddenly available.  Poolside and grand cabanas are sold out.

YIKES, that's expensive day real estate for shade!  However, what works for one cruiser may not work for another.  Thanks for the info!
