Changes to Caribbean itineraries - summer 2024

This links in to todays “big announcement”. We were booked to sail Refection to ABCs departing 24 August and it now looks as if Beyond is doing that sailing. Do we just get transferred across or will we be cancelled and have to re-book?

Good question.  I suggest waiting for the inevitable e-mail from Celebrity or your travel agent telling you what they did and what options you'll have.

If they just change ships you will be transferred automatically.

Spoke to our travel agent just now who advised they haven’t heard anything from celebrity yet but we should be transferred automatically at no extra cost.

Beyond is nice ship, I'd be happy with the swap!

Only ever done Equinox so would have been nice to try the Reflection for comparison, and we like the size and layout of that class. But next year we are on the Edge in May and hopefully the Beyond in August so a totally new experience.

Reflection has real verandas; Beyond has infinite verandas, so proves to be interesting.  Then you have all the other booked passengers on TA’s etc...change is the only constant!

Rec'd email today that Reflection switched to Beyond.  Very excited to sail on Beyond and would love to meet Cpt Kate.  However, switch was evidently "no charge", but prices are actually LOWER than what we booked for.  Waiting to hear what shakes out on that!

Yes, got the same email that our April 2024 ABC cruise on Reflection has been switched to Beyond. Celebrity will automatically rebook us to the same stateroom type but any shore excisions, beverage packages, Internet, specially dining booked though Celebrity Cruise Planner will be cancelled and need to be rebooked once the transfer is complete.

 

We will miss Reflection's real verandas and we will find out first hand what we think of the infinite verandas.

Have avoided "E Class" ships in favor of "S" because of Infinite Veranda and lack of lawn area, which is where I gravitate daily.

But, there's time to weigh my options and alternatives.

We are open minded about infinite verandas but will give them a fair chance and hopefully we will like them given we now have 2 Edge class sailings next year. This time last week it was the Med on the Equinox which we changed for Hawaii on the Edge, and Caribbean on the Reflection which is now the Beyond.

We had B3B on Reflection which is now Beyond. Not at all amenable to going to an infinite veranda for 21 days. Hoping we get the option to cancel without penalty but cruise contract states they have the right to change vessel 🤬  Would be nice if there were sufficient number of sunset verandas to change to but highly doubtful.

we are on the Reflection ABC itinerary at the end of March, and it doesn't look like we'll be switched. Beyond will be doing a 10 day itinerary at the same time as Reflection's 8 day trip (different ports too).

Would be nice. It's an inside room anyway, so no gripe about infinite veranda....

My 6N on the Reflection went to a 5N on Beyond with a different itinerary.  Celebrity is giving a $100 OBC (for the cabin).  Typically a 5N cruise is more than a $100 price difference from a 6N cruise.  It feels like I'm taking the loss with this change.
