Princess and Amex offers

I also have this offer and am trying to figure out if I can use it on free room casino cruises.  It looks like it would cover port fees and insurance but not the 200-dollar deposit so I would have to book 3 cruises.  I think that it would come across as 3 different purchases which would make the offer invalid.

Has anyone else successfully used this offer? It is good thru February and I plan to try it soon on a cruise payment.

We used ours against a cruise we have booked for late April!  The statement credit came through a few days later.

We used the offers, one card is spend $700 for 17.5K membership reward ots and the other card is for $175 statement credit.  Both are Blue Business Plus cards.

As long as the charges are directly to the merchants, in this case Princess, it does not matter what the charges are, nor using the AMEX link in the offer.  We always book through our cruise agent, often split payment into multiple cards to take advantage of various promotions.  Always get what the promotion promised.

Once you see an AMEX  offer that is remotely interesting to you, ADD it to the card ASAP.  Because these offers are of finite numbers, once enough cardholders have “taken” them by way of adding to their cards, the offer would disappear from “Available” tab.  You will never see it again.  Offers on cruise lines are very popular.  I saw a HAL $500/$1500 offer this Spring but did not add it immediately.  When I returned to my AMEX online the next day, the offer was gone.

Bonus points posted within 3 days after making payment to a flash sale we just saw available.  Statement took one or two extra days.  We have used AMEX offers on cruise bookings many times.  I with the higher spend but also higher statement credit offers would make a come back.
in 2022 there were a $400 statement credit on $1500 spend on Princess,  that we took advantage of.

These AMEX offers are different from the standard benefits of the Plat cards.  The $300 credit is a Plat card benefit, while the AMEX offers this thread talked about are targeted offers that any type of AMEX cards might get if it is targeted to that card, plus the offers even for the same merchant, can have multiple versions.  We once had a $500 statement credit on a $1500 Royal Caribbeans spend, as well as a $350 statement credit on only $1000 Royal Caribbeans spend.

I'm about to make final payment (have the 17,500 points offer loaded into my Amex Platinum) and am a bit confused about the wording with the personalizer.  I did just make the reservation about a week ago and have my FCD holding it and was hoping not to call and make the payment as my PVP is off for the weekend.

Has anyone been successful paying Princess through your personalizer and getting either the bonus points or credit.

For anyone that used big box TA to book Princess, do you remember if payments made through them would post as Princess or the big box TA?

I just made my payment via Amex through the personalizer and got the statement credit listed on my Amex the next day.

Big box does not accept Amex card for payment anymore. Visa only. You can use Amex for other expenses like excursions, specialty dining…etc.

I called my TA to charge the $700 with Amex.  The charge appeared in two days but the credit did not.  After 6 days I chatted with an Amex agent who stated it took 7 to 10 days.  The next day the credit was there.  Now I have the same promotion on my husband's card.  I will wait until the statement cut off next week and call again.

Oh. It's the same for the travel department, too?

Platinum had the spend $700 get $175 credit.

I always add any cruise offer, even if I wont use it. I continue to get targeted for cruise offers since they see I am interested in cruising. Add them ASAP as these are limited.

I have used the 20K points spend 1K offer for RCL and Have used the $250 cash back for NCL. Finally able to use my Princess offer (first time Princess cruiser 🙂 ) Saw a great itinerary and price for a NYE cruise, so pulled the trigger!

Credited 2 days later! (yes I use all of my AMEX perks 🙂 )

Now the catch is it needs to be a 1 time $700 charge and has to be billed as Princess Cruises (website, phone or your local TA)

Hi new here hoping for a little help I have both the blue Preffered and the Hilton honors cards but do not see the offer. I even asked and they said there was no offers for princess.

They are random. Not everyone gets these offers, also there are limited amount of offers , once they are snatched up they are gone.

Rule of thumb I always follow, if I see anything travel related Airline, Cruise, Hotel. I will add it to my card ASAP , regardless if I will use it or not. By doing this I notice I see multiple Cruise line offers.

Example here back in Aug/Sept/Oct 2023 I had the following offers, which I had added all of the to my card. I will probably never sail Regent or Oceania due to price. But everything else probably.

thank you for the info how often should i check daily?

From what I’ve seen on my account, they might come out with an offer every six to twelve months.  The ones for Princess and Holland came out a month or two back.  Once used, you have to wait for the next offer.  They were offering much of anything after CoVid but now, I am seeing them again.
You can be sure that someone here on CC will mention when they are offering them again.  They aren’t sent to everyone’s cards but I got one on my Everyday Blue card.  So happy when these show up!
