Wifi Pricing without HIA

Could you ask if a package can be bought mid-cruise?  Let's say we are in port the first 5 days of a 14-night cruise.  Can use cell service to get e-mails during day so don't need wifi.  Could we wait until day 6 to get a package and, if so, how much it would cost?

I will ask (wrote myself a note). While onboard in a few more weeks, I will try to get a master price list from the Internet folks as well as answer as many HAL questions as possible.

Every day that I logged in to the internet, there was an option on the screen to add another account with a lowering amount each day.

Spoke with a HAL rep in Ship Services today about a 14-night cruise in October.

Prepay is only available for Premium service at $207.99 for a 1-device plan for a 14-night cruise. That works out to about $15 per day.  There is no prepay Surf package. If we wait until we get onboard, a Surf package for the entire cruise will be $209.99.

How/where did you find out the price of the Surf package when purchasing on board?  When I called ships services they told me they did not have that information.

I asked and this is the info that I was given.  Won't guarantee that it's correct.

Who did you ask?  When I called ship services I was told they did not have access to the wifi costs when purchased on the ship.

When I click that link it only gives be the price if I purchase it a day at a time.

There are a single example in the two-asterisk footnote:

7- DAY SURF VOYAGE PRICING BEGINS AT $18 PER DAY AND 7- DAY PREMIUM VOYAGE PRICING BEGINS AT $23 PER DAY. PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE UP TO 135 DAYS.

Not too helpful for longer cruises! But it still appears to be that Premium bought (and paid for!) pre-sailing is about the same as Surf bought on board, with Premium being more. What *I* am curious about is the price to upgrade to Premium from the HIA's Surf, on board, for a LONG cruise (have two 35-day booked!).

Updated WiFi Pricing List (as of 1-7-24)

Currently on K’dam.  Was told that the only person onboard who has the coveted WiFi pricing list (to buy once onboard) is the future cruise consultant.  Seemed unlikely but I asked anyway and voila!!  He made me a copy.  😘

(apologies for not knowing how to rotate a photo on my iPad)

@Crew News Roger, feel free to update the list on your website

Remember, 5* Mariners save $30 off these prices.

Thanks.  What a find!!!!  I will reformat and post.

FWIW I stumbled on the Half Moon Cay Butler Menu at Shore Excursions after a long search.

Wonder what other good information is maintained in unlikely locations?

This is GREAT information - we are boarding the Rotterdam for 42 days so this tells me to wait until the day 2 to purchase my package and save $130!!!!!!!  Thanks so much for posting

Don't credit me -- it was @Haljo1935 that found the information. I just rotated and split the file into two pics (using IrfanView, handy program), which enlarges them for readability on CC.

Buying the premium package pre-cruise saves you 20% which makes a big difference on longer cruises. You can't use the Mariner discount however. The multi device is also cheaper than 2 individual plans.

I believe I have transcribed everything correctly, please let me know if you see any errors.

Your headers are off by a tab's worth as displayed on CC.

The Single device columns for Surf and Premium are spot on. My eyes went bleary before I could check the Multi columns!

OK I did the Multi columns and they are A-OK... but the link you posted to Zelker has several errors, at least in the Surf Multi column.

Premium 32-41 $494.99 $804.99 last column should be 814.99

The Surf Multi column for 16, repeats 15 and that column down to 52-56 is shifted down by one

15 $214.99 $364.99
16 $229.99 $364.99
17 $234.99 $389.99
18 $244.99 $404.99
19 $249.99 $424.99

42-51 $499.99 $714.99
52-56 $554.99 $919.99 (should be 42-51)

52-56 should be $1074.99

And then the bottom four rows are OK.

Haha, I must be tired! I thought I was talking to Roger the whole time. Wondered why he had re-done it and made errors the second time!

All is well! And goodnight...

32-41 Days    $395.99        $651.99

That is exactly (to the penny) 20% off the new onboard list's prices.
