@c-boy She's the one who has mastered the "fireworks". Say hi to her from Donna, please. We ate noodles together at the same ramen place in the Ala Moana mall in October. Christina has a photo, I think.  Good times! Love them all! Noel is my guy.

Itinerary: Leave home on November 1 for our undisclosed location in Santa Rosa for an overnight. We'll take the amazing Groome's Transportation (Airport Express) from the Sonoma Airport to San Francisco airport where we will fly via Air New Zealand Premium Economy, with a bid for Business Premier. (***To any who do this: if you are flying to Australia with ANY stop in New Zealand, you will need an ETA or Electronic Travel Authorization for New Zealand as well as Australia even if you just sit on the plane). We'll arrive in Sydney on November 4 for a three-night stay at the Radisson Blu Plaza in a Business Class room which has free breakfast (brekkie) and access to the business class lounge with noshes and drinks. We board the beautiful Majestic Princess on the 7th with a suite for a back to back Fiji and South Pacific / Tasmania with the Premier Package (no, let's not turn the thread into a debate about the merits and downfalls of the packages please). We return to Sydney for an overnight on the 27th, and on the 28th fly to New Caledonia (Noumea) where we will spend four nights in an overwater bungalow that we picked up for a song somehow. 

I just checked and the weather for our arrival down under is low 70's and rain. It's a bit warmer than here, but other than that, I think they're trying to make us feel at home with the rain.

For those who don't "know" us, we are mid-50's / early-60's, have a fairly extensive background in cruising, definite happy when cruising types...

Just ran across this wonderful trip report. May the rest of your trip be just as terrific as the first part.

 

Quick question if I may (that has little to do with your trip, at least not directly). In a couple of your photos, including embarkation,  you are wearing a great guitar themed shirt that my husband would love to steal off your body (no, he isn't a pervert or...maybe... you never know...but I digress). Could you tell me where you found your shirt so I can see about ordering one for my DH before our upcoming cruise in 3 weeks? Thanks in advance and enjoy the rest of your time on board!

This morning I saw him bent over by the door of the sweet suite picking up a letter (rather,  acting like it,  it was obvious he'd already had it and was resetting it,  the rascal). He brought it over. It was our invite to the Chef's Table for day after tomorrow. That will be fun!

Today we will be off ship in Suva pictures to follow.

Oh, I forgot, last night in Concierge lounge was a Fiji Party 🥳 

They had special drinks,  themed food and officer visits.

Suva looks exactly like it did when we were there in 2019.  Hope the weather clears for you.  Oh and I love when the lounge does themes.  What fun!

We left the ship to find a rainy day,  most stores closed due to Diwali and a cat 2 cyclone headed this way. After a bit of exploring and enhancing the local economy in the stores that WERE open,  we made our way back to the ship and had a pleasant surprise in the room:

Ooo! As I was typing we had a very brief power outage; wonder if that was connected to the cyclone and shore power. They are "currently investigating", and we are on backup power.

I requested through the suite Concierge once onboard.  They cannot be done in advance :)

Cat 2 cyclone and power issues?  Well I hope they come up with a good plan for all of that.

 

By the way it just occurred to me that our paths may cross later this month but I see that you are on to New Caledonia on the 27th.  We are in Sydney for 2 nights starting on the 30th before we board the Royal Princess.
