The Ben & Jerry's has been replaced with the Royal Caribbean branded ice cream. It was Ben and Jerry's when we boarded, but sometimes yesterday evening it swapped. It seems to be the similarly priced but honest looks better than the sad ice cream they used to have:

Debarked Vision 2 weeks ago. Paid $3.80 for 2 scoops of Ben & Jerry's. I like the new RC flavors compared to previous flavors.

There was an Oscar Oscar Oscar code just after 7:00 pm. The visceral feeling of the ship abruptly changing directions and slowing down was a lot.

Around 7:45 pm, the captain announced there was a situation and he would update us later.

My thoughts are with those directly involved.

Around 8:30, the captain said there would be no further updates about the situation, to respect the privacy of those involved. Our speed picked up from about 3.1 knots to 7.5 knots, but we seems to still be doing a figure eights:

That's too bad. Always a very sad thing. Thanks for letting us know.

Merry Christmas Eve.

Current view:

Current position - by my rough estimate, assuming this map is correct, we are not getting Port Canaveral by 10 am. We're still over 100 nm away, and traveling about 21 knots. There have been no announcements. To be clear, I completely understand both whatever efforts were taken and that they haven't yet done any overhead announcements so we could sleep.

I'll take that view! Should be a nice, comfortable day in the Orlando-area. Sorry for what that family is going thru. And I hope everyone else has a wonderful day on or off ship! Merry Christmas Eve!

The captain just made an announcement. The ship participated in the search and rescue operations for approximately six hours until they were called off by the US Coast Guard, who is continuing the search via aircraft.

Our current estimated arrival time into Port Canaveral is now 3:00 pm.

This made me laugh.   I think I will enjoy your take on the cruise.

What's the easiest way to find that out?

if Guest Services isn't busy you can ask them. If you have Crown Lounge or Suite Lounge access the concierge can tell you. Or you can ask someone on the Activities staff. Sometimes the bar staff or cabin attendants know, most time they do not.
