Retreat luggage

Recommended Posts

Yes, there is a Retreat luggage drop off location right by the entrance to the Retreat. They used to have staff with a sign but haven't seen that for a while. There is a porter there and if you tell them you are in a suite they take your luggage to a scanner to the left of the Retreat entrance to the terminal. I don't know if this applies to sky suites.

We found our bags right away in a specific numbered location which depended on our early flight departure time....the same as all other cruisers.

That’s for when you are leaving the ship. The OP is asking about joining the ship on embarkation day.

I just sailed from Terminal 25 in Fort Lauderdale in November.  There was a Retreat/Zenith luggage drop area next to the Retreat entrance.  Sky suites are part of Retreat, so they would be included.  Not sure if the sign said Retreat/Zenith, but it certainly said Retreat and Zeniths are able to use the Retreat entrance.  Luggage tags for disembarcation have always said Retreat/Zenith or Suite/Zenith.

Celebrity includes this image with the upper level suites placard. Not a great photo but it's the best I have. Placard works wonders. We are in an EV again in two weeks!

Good morning everyone!

Is there a special luggage drop off area  at the Fort Lauderdale pier for lower level suites?

Sailing the Ascent  in two weeks

It depends on the terminal you are sailing from. T25 has a special handling team for upper suites and you will receive a special paper to put on the dash of your transportation vehicle. The dash paper allows you to proceed to the drop off area in your vehicle. Your luggage will arrive in your suite very soon after you enter the ship, sometimes it will be in the room when you arrive to your room. Not so at the other FL pier terminals.

If not in an upper suite, regardless of the terminal, then the porters will (hopefully) put your luggage in a cart designated for suites and your luggage should receive priority handling. Royal does the same with a priority distinction between the class of suite.
