Bringing drinks onboard during embarkation?

Somewhere I heard/read that you CAN bring on 12 cans of soda during embarkation.  I know you can bring 2 bottles of wine.  Would appreciate any help!

"Guests may also bring non-alcoholic beverages as carry-on items on boarding day. Non-alcoholic beverages may not exceed 12 standard (17 oz.) cans, bottles or cartons per stateroom. Milk and distilled water brought on for infant, medical, or dietary use are permitted. "

It used to be two bottles per stateroom. It is now one bottle per person that is of drinking age.

It is 12 containers (no more than 17 oz/half liter) of any non-alcoholic beverage.

Thanks for all the info.  Been at least 5 years since last Royal Caribbean cruise, but now with granddaughter, we will be sailing more Royal Caribbean cruises.
