I can't believe 3 people said something about your pants.  Good grief!

I don’t see anything wrong with them.  As a matter of fact, they would fit in perfectly when they have Voodoo Moon show later in the week.

Thank you both. As long as the general consensus is that I’m not doing anything wrong, I’ll just ignore the pants police and we’ll name today’s towel animal Devil Pants because I think it might be a demon. I’ll post a picture of him later, but now Love and Marriage part 2!

Been following your posts as we will be on the ship September 21st. Personally I love the pants I am a huge skull and cross person. Pay no attention to the pants police. Create the trend don't follow the masses.

Where do you find the fountain sodas on Mardi Gras?

They have soda fountains where you can buy soda by the ounce (or it's included in the Cheers! or bubbles package) located on Lido and one in Pig and Anchor.

We went into Amber Cove this morning. The mission was hot sauce. Mission accomplished. We got three bottles and gummies that look like vampire teeth. We walked around a little. The pharmacy came highly recommended. So we walked by and looked at it. We took some pictures of the beautiful mountains and water. Then we came back to the ship.

We got a Guy's burger, which was delicious. Then we went to the pool before the crowds got back from port. We went in the hot tub at the tides pool for like 5 minutes, got a drink and then relocated to serenity because of the shaded seating choices. We don't do well in the sun. We might be vampires. We got a few rounds of drinks there and put or feet in the pool, but it was way to cold to get in. We finished another round of drinks and decided that was enough pool. We go to the pool for a good time, not a long time.

Then we did three trivias: grade school, the 70's and catch phrases. We did well with grade school (18 out of 20) and catch phrases (16 out of 20), but with the 70's one we actually got a medal for coming in last place with a 0 out of 20. What can we say? We weren't even born until the tail end of '89. That being said we did pretty well at 80's trivia.

Now we're hanging out on the balcony reading and stuff. We're eating at the steakhouse tonight at 7, then maybe some comedy shows. No piano bar tonight because it's Brad's day off and the major event is Deal or No Deal, which isn't our thing. We'll find something to do though.

Question for the People’s Republic of Cruise Critic,

I’m fairly new to cruising and I’m wondering if I missed something as far as etiquette is concerned. I have been approached three times tonight with people complaining about my “devil pants.” They cover everything, which doesn’t seem to be a requirement, but they do. It’s just the print that seems to be an issue for some. This is what they look like all over:

IMG_0091.thumb.jpeg.3177a007eaf45e9949c194a17a0feae1.jpeg

I don’t want to be the thing that makes anyone uncomfortable, but I have a hard time imagining that my pants are truly crossing that line, given what I’ve observed others wearing. Opinions? Are people just being ridiculous or am I breaking some sort of unwritten cruise rule?

Wow, the audacity.   Nothing wrong with that at all, but even if I thought there was I know well enough to mind my own damn business.  SMH

Been wondering the same about Amber Cove.  We have Atlantis booked just to do it.   Will prob just hit the beach in Grand Turk.   Have no idea if anything is really worth doing in Amber Cove.   Might stay on the ship but not sure. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you have not been to Amber Cove it is nice taking that long walk (or short bike jitney) to the port area and walking around a bit.  They have some stores, a pharmacy, a restaurant, and it is fun to watch the zip-liners flying overhead.  The pool is also nice, with a dj and some dances/games - kinda like Margaritaville. We get off for an hour or so, then back on the ship to enjoy the quiet and get to do things when things aren't crowded.

That’s what I think too. Who the heck could think they should comment on someone else’s attire.

@GothOnAShip  Keep some of those Vampire gummies for the time if ever you see any one of those people again and put them in your mouth and shine a big smile to them.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Well I was actually thinking wait till those complainers see Voodoo Moon - they'll blow a gasket! 😂 I think that show is my all-time favorite on Carnival, though I had to watch it 2 times in a row before I figured it out. lol

Agree with all of these comments, but can also recommend the Classic Cars excursion offered through Carnival.  It was a great day!

I meant to say Grand Turk we don’t know what to do. We are renting our own private caravan in Amber Cove and making our own agenda with family and friends to see all the sights and visit monkeyland. Enjoying reading all the updates to this post

We got a two pack of hot and spicy pepper sauces and a bottle of papaya habanero sauce. Both are supposed to be pretty spicy. I’m excited to try them. Pharmacy is interesting because you can get things that would typically require q prescription in the US cheap and without a prescription. I don’t have a lot of need for that but I guess a lot of people come to the Caribbean a couple times a year and get the medication they need for the next several months all at once for way cheaper. Or they get a bunch of antibiotics to have them on hand.

Tonight we ate at the steakhouse. It was amazing. Will compare to teppanaki when I’m sober lol.

I had the onion soup… good but sweeter than I’m used too , and the young lettuce. Those tomatoes were like amazing!!!! I know they’re just tomatoes, but amazing tomatoes the are. Mr. Goth had the stuffed mushrooms which he really liked. We both did the filet, which was so good and so tender. It was cooked perfectly. For dessert he did the apple tart and I did the cheesecake. We split his and took the cheesecake to go. We haven’t eaten it yet.

Then we went to bars and collected seltzers.
We have a stockpile now in our mini fridge.

We brought our stockpile back and watched Dungeons and Dragons because we’re nerds and it’s good.

Then we got drinks at the casino and went to late night comedy. Tommy Drake was funny. Alex Elon was good. He got a little political at the end, which to be honest I love when I agree with it, but this was not, so maybe it was better for the righter leaning crowd. Many in the audience seemed to love him, so that’s good.

Now we’re going to continue to drink out stockpile and watch another movie. We’re thinking Marvels because we’ve seen it before and we’re drunk.

Was curious about the steakhouse thanks for the tip. I read mixed reviews about it. Did u reserve in advance or just reserve or walk in on the ship trying to figure out if I want to set that up prior to the cruise not sure if these things sell out. How was dungeons dragons haven’t seen it been wanting too? Also how is the refrigerator is it keeping your drinks cold enough or should u bring a cooler?

Another vote for Jack's Shack.  Although Jack and Topher are no longer running the show and excavating to China, it is still a chill vibe with authentic Caribbean music and a superior beach, seemingly a world apart from the madness just a couple football fields away from the Carnival fun.

We made reservations at the steakhouse once we were on the ship through the app. Towards the end of the cruise it will be filled up by casino comps, so if you’re waiting until you’re on the ship, just make those reservations right away.

Dungeons and Dragons is a perfect movie. You’ll love it!

I'm happy with the temperature of the fridge, but at home I drink warm soda and water, so maybe someone who doesn’t will weigh in on this because I’m incredibly easy to please in that department.

This morning we went to walk around Grand Turk for a while. We looked at the space exhibit and in some of the shops and then we got back on the ship.

We did Shaq’s for lunch. I got another Big Aristotle and Mr. goth got another Shaq Attack, both of which were excellent.

Then we headed down to Summer Landing for some of the games that take place down there. Cup stacking was going on when we got there. It was just two people playing against each other, and they were brother and sister, so the rivalry was entertaining. Then we did animals trivia, which was hard but we won with 11 correct out of 20. We won our very own ship on a stick! IMG_0095.thumb.jpeg.e1276b17cdcdeec23b6ebd7254d49fb5.jpeg

Then it was girl bands and boy bands trivia (22 out of 30) and movie quotes trivia (19 out of 20).

Now I’m going to put on my devil pants in preparation for Voodoo Moon before dinner at Chibang! Then Mardi Gras celebration and Voodoo Moon. And probably piano bar after that.

Last night we went to Chi Bang! It was okay. All three tables near us were complaining about something, so I imagine there was something going on in the kitchen or behind the scenes. It’s been the first thing that we’ve decided isn’t for us this cruise, so not bad at all.

Then we went to Voodoo Moon and the Mardi Gras celebration. It was wonderful! Performers were great! Very energetic and fun!

Then we went to the piano bar. Brad was amazing as always! I maxed out the Cheers! Package for the day. It was a good time.
