Trainman-2 Posted June 28, 2008 #30 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Sovereign - 4 Mariner - 4 Nothing wrong with the same ship or the same ports. Everytime we go we find something new. Cruising is a state of mind! We saw this sign in Nassau a few days ago that really sums things up.
PAFC Posted June 28, 2008 #31 Share Posted June 28, 2008 We are going on the Independence for the third time on the 15/10/08 we were on the inaugural cruise in May then 14 days to the med in June, we loved it so much that when we got back we booked 11 days in October to the Canary islands such a bargain. Bette And Bill Posted June 28, 2008 #32 Share Posted June 28, 2008 We have been on the Radiance 3 times and Enchantment twice. We will be on the Navigator for the 2nd time in January and the Explorer for the 2nd and 3rd time in a year. All the iternaries have been a little different. But we enjoy cruising and love to just get away.

DonnaK Posted June 28, 2008 #35 Share Posted June 28, 2008 we've sailed on Mariner twice, and her sister ships Explorer and Adventure once each. Most ships do alternating itineraries, so while the ship is the same, at least the ports are different. We plan to do Mariner again when she's out west, and both of Explorer's routes from NJ, and Adventure's Barbados route. If you've already done all the IOS itineraries, why not try one of her sister ships, or one of the Voyager-class ships? All would be basically the same, but still a little different? jmf123 Posted June 28, 2008 #36 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Looking forward to our second cruise on the beautiful Radiance next year, and enjoyed Radisson's 'Paul Gauguin' every bit as much the second time in French Polynesia.
cruzr4vr Posted June 28, 2008 #37 Share Posted June 28, 2008 We've done the Viking Serenade 4 times; Monarch - I lost count and we have 3 more booked; Vision - 2; Voyager 2; Mariner 1 and have 4 more booked.
cruisenfever Posted June 28, 2008 #38 Share Posted June 28, 2008 We've sailed.............. Radiance 8 times with 2 more cruises planned......one for September 2008 and one April 2009. We've sailed Legend 3 times and did a b2b on Adventure, Navigator and most recently Splendour. Our very first RCI cruise was on Monarch which actually introduced us to what cruising is all about............so booked the same cruise for the following year. Arizona Cruz Chic Posted June 28, 2008 #40 Share Posted June 28, 2008 Its nice to repeat the same ship....you get to know crew, layout and favorite spots! So far we have been on 11 or 12 RC ships and only repeated the Vision X 2 and Radiance X 2 with another one for September. I say go for the best deal and enjoy! ***
Doc07 Posted June 28, 2008 Author #41 Share Posted June 28, 2008 You've all convinced me that multiple sailings on the same ship isn't a problem, thanks! I've struck while the iron is still hot so to speak and booked a 14 nighter on the Italian Med september 09 this morning. Pity I can't charge it to CC. Lol Thanks again Doc07

PATCHESPOP Posted June 29, 2008 #44 Share Posted June 29, 2008 We've been on Brilliance three times and Grandeur three times - not necessarily because of the ship, but because the itineraries were ones that we wanted to take. We like the Radiance class ships (includng Brilliance) the best, and have taken Jewel and Radiance as well. We just wish that Grandeur had a Concierge Lounge for the Diamond and D+ passengers. Laurie12820 Posted June 29, 2008 #45 Share Posted June 29, 2008 I cruised the Empress twice, same itinerary, different departure port. I sailed her as the Nordic Empress and then again after her refurb as the Empress of the Seas. I loved that ship!

cruzin lady Posted June 29, 2008 #47 Share Posted June 29, 2008 We sailed on "our ship" the Rhapsody nine times, and still mourn that RC took her away from us!!! She is a lovely ship with a fantastic crew. :) I doubt we'll ever feel that way about another ship. We brought her to Galveston in 2001 from San Diego through the Canal, and then, sadly, took her through the Canal back to San Diego and bid her adieu in Sept. of '07. In desperation, because we don't like to fly these days, we took a B2B on the Carnival Conquest in April, and really liked the ship---we were very apprehensive about that booking. She is very classy, food was great, entertainment good, service excellent . . . but she isn't the Rhapsody, and it isn't RC. What's a RC Rhapsody lover to do? Cruzin Lady
