SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 9268

AREA: midship

BED NEAR: balcony

QUIET?: for the most part

BALCONY VIEW: side view

SHIP: Silhouette

CABIN #: 1642

DECK #:

CLASS: A2

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: No. I was woken every morning around 3am by what sounded like a low flying airplane and then knocking noises. I have no idea what it was. We had cabins above and below us. I can only assume that it came from some sort of crew area on the other side of the hallway. I would not book this cabin again.

BALCONY VIEW: Unobstructed

BALCONY SIZE: Normal

WIND A PROBLEM?:No

SOOT A PROBLEM?:No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:Noisy as detailed above. Prefer cabins with bed near verandah. It was hard to access the closet when the bed was so close to it.

SHIP: CELEBRITY SILHOUETTE

CABIN #: 8298

DECK #: 8 (Vista Deck)

Starboard or Port: Starboard

CLASS: Deluxe Ocean View Veranda - 1C

BED NEAR: Balcony/ Veranda

QUIET?: Yes, absolutely no noise throughout the cruise.

BALCONY VIEW: No obstructions, you could see the top of the lifeboats below, but since its on Deck 8, it does not interfere in your straight view of the sea.

BALCONY SIZE: Normal. More than enough for 2 people

WIND A PROBLEM?: Never. The cool breeze is the best part of a balcony room!

SOOT A PROBLEM?: Nope!

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Fabulous room. Not too far from the middle elevators (19-20 staterooms from the elevator). We also had 8299 which is on the port side, and for the Mediterranean cruise (Venice, Croatia, Kotor, Malta, etc) we felt the views from the starboard side verandas were better than those from the port side.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 1591

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A1 (Aqua Class)

AREA: Port / Midship

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Yes! Very quiet!

BALCONY VIEW: Glorious! Excellent view forward. The midship "hump" was around 10 cabins aft and posed no issues. Our sea view was vast!

BALCONY SIZE: Bigger than expected. Standard for the category. We loved it!

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We loved this stateroom and its proximity to the midship elevators. Our stateroom attendants, Elvie and Rommel, were outstanding. This cabin was perfect, clean and in stellar working order. We'd book it again in a heartbeat. Storage space was greater than expected. We had plenty of space for our weeklong journey, including formal wear and lots of shoes! :) Being only two decks down from the Oceanview Cafe made it easy to run upstairs to get snacks and drinks while getting ready for dinner. Thanks Celebrity!

DECK #: 10

CLASS: Concierge

AREA:

BED NEAR: bathroom

QUIET?: very quiet, away from elevators

BALCONY VIEW: always had a nice view when docking. great views

BALCONY SIZE: normal size, 2 chairs, 2 footstools and nice round table

WIND A PROBLEM?:no

SOOT A PROBLEM?:no

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS:

room set up for 4. sofa makes into single bed with a pull out trundle. It was ok for our young teens, but as adults would not want to sleep in one all week. Very little walking space when the trundle was pulled out. Made it almost impossible to get to balcony.

SHIP: Reflection

CABIN #: 1214

DECK #: 10

CLASS: Sky Suite 1

AREA: Aft

BED NEAR: Balcony

QUIET?: Never heard other passengers. Some rumbling as we pulled into ports and the captain manuvered the ship.

BALCONY VIEW: Can see off the back of the ship and around the starboard corner

BALCONY SIZE: Huge, could easily fit 4 people on the balcony and not feel crowded.

WIND A PROBLEM?: No

SOOT A PROBLEM?: I noticed some soot accumulation in the corners of the floor, but nothing on the rails or table/chairs.

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: Family of 4 (kids ages 8 and 4). Perfect size for our family. Kids slept on the pull out sofa and had no issues. The large portal window on the side added plenty of natural light and provided a great location for the kids to sit and watch the waves. The bathroom was of decent size for a cruise ship, and included a full tub with rain showerhead. The clearance of the showerhead was about 6'1.

Amenities: The embarkation/debarkation priority was stress free. We enjoyed access to Blu and were not charged additional fees. The afternoon canapes were a welcome sight when returning from the pool or port.

We loved this room and would book it again.

SHIP: Equinox

CABIN #: 1501

DECK #: 11

CLASS: A2

AREA: first cabin on port side

BED NEAR: Bathroom

QUIET?: Yes and no. In the mornings we heard a little bit of thumping. Since we were right next to the aqua spa and relaxation room, the wall behind our bed bordered on an unknown area, I think a utility closet. There was no noise in the evening time at any time. The thumps seemed to come from above, but there was only an OBservation deck above our cabin, not the gym.

BALCONY VIEW: partially Obstructed on the right due to the bridge one deck below. Although we were one deck above the bridge, we could look out and over the bridge for a great forward view. The views to the left were, of course, Unobstructed.

BALCONY SIZE: Average, but ours had approx. 8 inches more due to being the first cabin

WIND A PROBLEM?: Yes, due to cabin's location, it was definitely windier than other balconies we've had in the past, not horrible wind, but there was a 3-4 inch gap in the balcony glass which allowed the wind to come through. The gap was due to balcony being the end balcony

SOOT A PROBLEM?: No

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: there were two fire dampers in the ceiling of room above the bed and above the sofa area. I didn't notice them until the last night.

I would still book this cabin again, but it was definitely noisier than 1521, which we had last year. It was quiet due to being the first cabin and also we didn't have any service areas nearby. Nearest service area was by cabins 1535/1537, approximately 20 cabins away and I would not have enjoyed a cabin there due to the loud noise during the morning

SHIP: Solstice

CABIN #:1403

DECK #: 10

CLASS: S1

AREA: AFT port

BED NEAR: centered in room

QUIET?: ABSOLUTELY

BALCONY VIEW: slight obstruction due to window washing equipment

BALCONY SIZE: large

WIND A PROBLEM?: NOT AT ALL

SOOT A PROBLEM?: NO

Comments: Thought that the pole next to the bed might be a problem but it turned out not to be. Extremely quiet room. A great suite, with only the minor obstruction on the balcony, and lots of condensation within the window (which made the view out-of-focus) to keep it from being perfect.
