gun pass

Recommended Posts

I am going to be going on a cruise with my wife in a couple weeks. What do I need other than a passport and funpass to get on the ship?

Also, when I went to print the fun pass it was just a small piece of paper with both our names on it. Do we just need one pass for both of us and is it just on small pass you print off from the website?

thanks a lot!

Wow, I thought you wanted to get a pass for your gun. Thought this might be an intersteing thread!!! lol

All you need is that little piece of paper called a funpass and some type of proper ID, which of course a passport is.

holy crap that is some typo!!

I always take copies of the entire e-doc showing cabin #, price paid, etc. along with the Fun pass and Passports.

Yes the fun pass is just a single sheet saying that you have filled out the docs online. :)

I think the title is a hoaxes to get people to look, well, it worked on me! LOL

Any way, I have no trouble with LAW ABIDING people, who have a conceal weapons permit (which means they have had a background check) and notified Carnival, to have a pistol kept in their room safe during the cruise. Havent you ever heard of the "Pirates of the Caribbean"? Dont believe they are real? Watch Captain Ron!

You don't need a gun pass. I take mine along every cruise.

Put it thru the scanner, they're cool with that -as long as it's not loaded at the time ;)

I keep it in the safe

just in case the Stuart, the cabin steward doesn't disinfect the cabin and bathroom well enough for my kleankrazy OCD wife.

If it gets real bad, I shoot the both of them, toss them overboard

and then sue Carnival for not having railings high enough.

Works a charm. Seriously!

Beautiful glass art on Carnival Victory - that bit is factual.

I've heard that if you put your gun next to your illegal iron and inside the illegal blender, it really messes with the x-ray machine and they won't find it. Give that a try and let us know how it worked!!!!!

TSA Public Education Fact Sheet

TRANSPORTING FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION ABOARD

COMMERCIAL AIR CARRIERS

After two years of aggressive public education on prohibited items, the Transportation

Security Administration (TSA) continues to struggle with communicating the issue of how

to properly transport guns and ammunition aboard commercial air carriers. In recent

months, reports have included at least three or four gun incidents each day across the

country. Checkpoint screeners have done an excellent job in detecting the weapons and

keeping them off airplanes, but each situation causes delays in the screening process.

Another related cause of delays is the frequent occurrence of weapons not properly

declared and packed. Baggage screeners often find guns-loaded and unloaded-amidst

clothing and other items in checked bags. Since most instances involve travelers who are

not aware of the gun transport rules or who have unknowingly presented the weapon at a

checkpoint, the TSA hopes a massive public information campaign will help reduce the

number of incidents and resulting unnecessary delays.

TSA is reaching out to gun dealers, sports associations, law enforcement organizations

and others to help get the message out concerning the rules for transporting firearms,

firearm parts and ammunition. The Federal requirements regarding travel with firearms

and ammunition aboard commercial air carrier are listed below. For additional

information, go to the TSA Website at http://www.tsa.gov/public.

Firearms are prohibited from carry-on baggage.

Firearms must be checked with the air carrier as luggage.

Firearms and ammunition must be declared orally or in writing in accordance with

the air carrier's procedures.

All firearms must be unloaded.

The firearm must be carried in a hard-sided container.

The container must be locked and only the passenger may retain the key or

combination.

Ammunition is prohibited from carry-on luggage.

Ammunition may not be carried loose.

Ammunition must travel in the manufacturer's packaging or other packaging

suitable for transport.

Ammunition may be packed in the same hard-sided, locked case as the firearm as

long as it complies with packaging requirements as stated above and the air carrier

permits it to be packed with the firearm.

Firearm parts may not be transported in carry-on baggage.

Failure to fully comply with these requirements may result in civil and/or criminal penalties

Nothing about a Gun Pass :D
