marci22 Posted December 31, 2008 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2008 I think they should charge all day for room service. Maybe it will cut down on traffic and the room service people will not be so overwhelmed (as they always seem to be). $3.95 with gratuity included is nothing. Dont shoot the messenger please :o Hope its true. Just with the 15% for bartenders that too is a reaction to the tip-less cruising community which has been generated over the last few years. As we can't shoot the messenger we can't shoot RCI. Each of us has to look at how do we cruise and extrapolate this behavior on a grander scale. CroozeAddict Posted December 31, 2008 #15 Share Posted December 31, 2008 Guess it's a quick stop at Sorrento's before we head to the cabin now. Hopefully we'll get breakfast at 6am without a surcharge.
ladysail2 Posted December 31, 2008 #16 Share Posted December 31, 2008 Perhaps it's an effort to stop room service during those hours. It does seem like a shame....what next??:confused:

GMoney Posted December 31, 2008 #23 Share Posted December 31, 2008 It always surprises me that they don't eliminate Room Service altogether, especially on newer, bigger ships that have so many dining options.

That's been a standard since my first cruise in the early 90's. And a $3.95 charge for late night munchies isn't much, we usually tipped about that anyway. Do you know if it's a per order or per person charge? Either way, it's less than the price of another drink in the bar. :)
