Courtesy Hold Question

The WOW sale ends this evening and a group of friends and my family are going. If i put the courtesy hold on this evening. Will I still be able to pay the 1/2 deposit and get all the benefits tomorrow?Is it exactly 24 hours? Sorry if this was already asked or on another post some place. I know people get upset about that kind of thing for some reason.

Yes the hold will lock in the price and promotion. I would not count on it bring any longer than 24 hours.

Thanks for the quick response!! I appreciate it! I'll have the funds worked out by tomorrow afternoon. Paying for this wedding/honeymoon got me strapped a little bit.

coachw, we recently put a cruise on hold at 5am and my confirmation email said that it would expire the following day at 5pm, so you should have plenty of time to make arrangements.

I've actually had a cruise hold last more than 24hrs and had a phone call to verify whether or not I wanted to book.

I called earlier today and asked - the price and on board credit will be valid tomorrow if you put a courtesy hold on it today but not the 1/2 deposit - the 1/2 price deposit expires tonight at midnight... it will revert to regular deposit amount tomorrow if not paid by midnight tonight. You may want to call RCCL and see if you get the same info ...:confused:

And the OBC is also there this morning. The website shows the 50% deposit extended until 4/30 but it does not mention OBC

I had called yesterday inquiring about the 1/2 deposit on Anthem - which was included in 1/2 off deposit WoW sale yesterday but is now excluded in the 1/2 promo that started today... Hopefully OP was looking at a different ship that still has the 1/2 off deposit promo today

That's what the website says. Now you have until the 30th but the OBC is gone. According to the website!!

Someone told me that:

OBC is not free... it is built into the price you pay.

The cruise price is adjusted upward and then advertised

as OBC... it is not free but most people think it is free.

This has been confirmed many times by closely watching

prices and promos.

Furthermore, any OBC not used disappears after your cruise.

It does not carry over to another cruise.

The phone operators say you do not get charged for OBC

but that is their script.

Not sure if all this is true...could have been a disgruntled

Was looking at a Brilliance cruise in 3/2016. I checked the rate yesterday.

When I checked again today the price was exactly the same but no onboard credit. In my case the OBC was real.

If you need more time to decide just call them up and they will extend the hold.

I had a cabin on hold once and needed extra time to see if we could work out schedules. I called and asked if the hold could be extended and the Rep extended it 2 days or 3 days(I think it was 3 days).
