Pices DOWN!!!

Just as predicted, prices way down this morning because the 10% promo is over.

Our Alaskan cruise for next year never changed. It did not go up during the promo and it has not gone down now that the promo is over.

Prices for the cruise I booked are higher then they were when I took advantage of the 10% and I have a $600 OBC. Of course I booked for 2016:eek:

our cruise is november 30 and down $200 pp across the board

My nov 1st cruise on the getaway is still more expensive then when i booked it

Suite//Haven didn't go down 1 stinken dollar :(

The cruise I'm on in December, the cheapest price for an inside is the same as what I paid for our balcony.. :eek: sure glad I booked early. :)

Price on my cruise is up $532! :eek: I got a great deal with that 10% plus transferred to TA gave me an additional $460 in OBC. I guess it all depends on sailing date, etc.

No change in price for my sailing date, so I'm happy I scored the 10% OBC.

My Balcony cabin on the Getaway is still $500 more than what I paid two months ago. The rates on my sailing did not change due to the 10% sale.

Yeah I guess so. I was able to upgrade my son and his GF from an inside GTY he has such a crappy cabin assigned to a balcony for only $108 total. This is after final payment. They are very happy.

Ours is up $400. I am happy I switched over to the 10% promotion. Lower price and nice OBC!

Mine for next year is higher than when I booked. I am hoping prices will drop so I can upgrade cheaply. However, if that doesn't happen, I will be content with the cabin we have.

Can someone explain how upgrading works. I have booked through a TA, how do I know if there's been a price drop, and how can I upgrade?

All your dealings must be made through your TA. If you ask your TA, they can check the most recent price and see if you can get in a better category for the same or very little money.

My Alaska cruise for next year stayed exactly the same too.

I am on the JEWEL on 11/29/14.....just got an upgrade for the price I had paid before.....inside (10) to an ocean view aft on 8...no additional cost...and kept my obc... great.... sailing alone.,,,,,,

I booked the Epic last week on the 10% promo. I checked again late last night and they dropped mini suite prices $100 a few hours before the promo expired. I immediately called NCL and got the price adjustment.

Our 12/21/14 Breakawy GTY Balcony price stayed the same. Checked my TA's and NCL's website to confirm.

We are on the breakaway. Sure sounds like my son lucked out. It was a no brainer. He had an inside GTY and was assigned cabin 5629 which is pretty crummy so for $108 him and his GF now have a balcony cabin.

I booked a Bermuda cruise for 2015 for what I thought was ridiculously early but I wanted a specific suite. So thankful I did, I checked prices today and they are up $600 per person from when I booked it.

The only prices that compare to competition are the inside, goes up from there. The suite and Haven prices are outrageous. We just completed a cruise on Gem and one scheduled for March on a Jewel and both Haven suites were within a few dollars of Princess Premium suite. Been looking at Panama Canal Haven was 8,200 before sale, 10,000 now as compared to 6218 for Princess. I guess it's time to tell Norwegian good bye. At least I will have two cruises before they went crazy! I guess buying two other cruise lines and ordering all their new ships have made them greedy. Too bad!

When is your sailing? Are you past final payment? That can matter.

You can do a "mock booking" on the NCL.com website.

Just select the same sailing, same cabin category, and select a cabin, but do NOT click anything about paying.

If the cost is less... and...

If you are NOT within final payment (that is, you've ONLY paid the initial deposit, and there is NO penalty to cancel), then you could go ahead and "start the payment process", but make SURE that you only put it on the 24 hour courtesy hold.

THEN CALL YOUR TA for help with the change, either with a lower price for current category, or for an upgrade at previous price, etc.

NOTE: You might lose any perks like OBC or other promos, but your TA could tell you that, or perhaps help you keep them.

If it IS within final payment, STILL contact your TA, and hope the TA can help you get an upgrade or some extra OBC.

Not travelling until May 2015 on the Spirit. So only paid deposit for a Balcony.

No OBC or any promos. UK based, if that makes any different. Tbh I am happy with the price I got, so wasn't looking for anything else, but reading this thread made me wonder.
