Ship - Allure OTS

Deck - 7

Stateroom # - 632

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Across the hall was some type of crew work area, and sometimes we could hear some noise. Nothing that kept us awake (when we slept at night or napped during the day). I would still be willing to choose this room again.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes, we did not use.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This room was on the front of the 2nd hump towards the aft. We had the slant, and it gave an interesting view forward. We enjoyed it.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - I suppose normal for JS, we were so impressed with how huge it was even with the slant.

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - One side of the bed was a little sunken in.

Any other comments? - We were surprised that the sofa did not turn into a bed. Loved the room, great location, so close to everything we were most interested in.

Ship Brilliance of the Seas

Deck 10

Stateroom #1092

Stateroom Category Junior Suite

Starboard or Port Side Port

Quiet Stateroom ? (with comments on problems) No. This stateroom is located directly under the Windjammer, apparently the kitchen/supply area. Sounds of rolling carts, dropped items, other sounds went on most of the night and started again very early (4:00 to 5:00 am) in the morning. Not particularly noticeable during day.

Was stateroom connecting stateroom? No

Balcony view - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue - There is an overhand from the Windjammer deck which almost completely shades this balcony, and a slight (2 to 3 feet) obstruction straight down to the water.

Balcony size? Normal or oversized for class? Normal

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? See noise comments above

Any other comments? The Junior Suite category is our favorite, and this is a spacious cabin. However, we did not have a single night of uninterrupted sleep.

Ship - Enchantment of the Seas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8158

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet. Others have posted on noise problems in this part of the ship because Park Cafe is right above you but unless we were out on our balcony there was no noise and even the noise when outside was nothing to complain about.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Fantastic view. We chose this because it was the last balcony on this side of the ship. Slight obstruction towards the left but minor.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - I'm assuming it's normal for the class. We had plenty of room for the two of us.

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Barely worth writing about but if we have to pick a complaint, this would be it: Slight odor in the bathroom from time to time but it wasn't terrible and seemed to be due to plumbing. We kept the door closed.

Any other comments? - Overall clean though showing it's age. Enjoyable, quiet, roomy, comfy and great balcony. Would book again if the price is right.

Ship - Vision of the Seas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8508

Stateroom Category – GS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – NO! We were awakened every morning about 5:30 with the noise from the windjammer. They were preparing for breakfast. You would hear the same noise about 11:30 pm as they cleaned up from the day

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – balcony is under the overhang of the windjammer. We were protected from any rain that may come down. Not a great choice for sunbathers, but we loved it. There was nothing obstructing the view. You can watch the bridge personnel on the wing of the bridge as you come into port.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal

Was wind a problem? - if you stayed within the balcony, no. Leaning out over the balcony (looking forward or aft) was windy.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - nothing other than the noise.

Any other comments? - We loved the room and the balcony. Perhaps if you had ear plugs the noise would be bearable.

Agree with noise from Windjammer. We were awakened every morning and not able to go back to sleep and I am not even close to a light sleeper. I would also add that the mattress is the firmest that I have ever had in a suite. Our steward placed two comforters under the bottom sheet and it only helped slightly. We did like to L-shaped sofa and chair configuration. The bath tub is longer than the tub in a GS on the Adventure.

Deck ..2

Stateroom...2316

Ocean View..window not porthole.

Starboard or Port?...Port

Quiet?.... Yes very quiet, because on one side there is a fire equipment cupboard and we heard nothing at all from the other side stateroom. No noise from deck above.

Connecting stateroom?.... No

Balcony view. N/A

Balcony size. N/A

Specific problems with this cabin?..none, great cabin.

Comments... Some people are a bit sniffy about lower deck cabins but we were advised to go midship and low as this was a transatlantic crossing. Great advice now we will always pick a low deck. This cabin is near, but not too near the lifts, very quiet, no noise from deck above. Shower had doors not curtain. Plenty of storage of course. Bed better as 2 singles in order to look out of the window without being on the bed and for more usable floor space.Ideal for us.

Starboard or Port Side - Corner Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – very quiet. No noise from anywhere else

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Officially this is an obstructed view, but unofficially? The view is fantastic!!

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - MaHOOOsive!!

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Not at all.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The only problem we found was that the shower didn't drain very fast & spilled out into the main bathroom area. I had to turn the water off when actually washing my hair which was a bit chilly. But really- this is a great room.

Ship - Independence of the Seas

Deck - 9

Stateroom # - 9216

Stateroom Category –

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet, no noise problems at all.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – N/A

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - N/A for but ROOM size was oversized for class and great!

Was wind a problem? - N/A

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? - Not only is this a rare O/V room on an upper deck, but its significantly larger than normal. 9218 next door is even larger, but we were very pleased with 9216. Rooms starting with 9220 are balcony rooms, but as the curve towards the bow begins at 9218, the last 3 rooms become O/V rooms. The curve makes them smaller, but the area used for balconies in 9220 & beyond become part of the cabin for 9214, 9216 & 9218. 9214 is probably no larger than a normal O/V, but 9216 is significantly larger, and 9218 is even a bit larger still. Both (along with 9516 & 9518 on the opposite side) are HIGHLY recommended as spacious but inexpensive rooms near the top of the ship. In the picture you can see we moved the glass table from in front of the couch, along with the desk chair - over in front of the window. Got our wonderful steward to bring us a second chair and had a great little sitting area for breakfast every morning.

Ship - Oasis of the Seas

Deck - 14

Stateroom # - 14636

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – No, if you are a light sleeper, deck 14 is NOT for you. It is just below the pool deck, and the noise of moving deck chairs is noticeable. (I sleep like the dead so it didn't bother me, but i could hear it late at night) you could also hear the elevator at times.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This room was on the second hump (closer to aft) so the balcony was bigger and slanted out. Views were impressive, we faced the ports at all three stops of our western caribbean itinerary. (well, the view of Cozumel was blocked for most of the day by the serenade of the seas, but it was kinda cool to see the ship across the dock)

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - it was huge. Because it was on the hump, it had slightly more space than the JS next door (we had 4 rooms in a row on that side, so I could contrast and compare, mine was the biggest of the JS's.)

Was wind a problem? - no, and our cruise was crazy windy (well over 40 knot winds a few days.)

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - none. Super clean, in great repair, the tub drain was a little slow.

Any other comments? - Despite the aforementioned noise, I loooooooved this cabin. Close to everything, easy to get to from the elevator, closet space for days, shower that you didn't bang your elbows on. I'd stay in it again in a second.

Ship - EXPLORER OF THE SEAS

Deck - Seven

Stateroom # - 7200

Stateroom Category – FAMILY OCEANVIEW

Starboard or Port Side - STARBOARD/CENTER/FRONT

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes and No. Quiet for the most part, but you will hear a bit of noise when docking because of the forward props and dropping the anchor. Maybe some occasional "bumps" from the neighbor's kids in other family oceanview. If you're a light sleeper, these may be bothersome in the early morning arrivals in port, it wasn't a problem for me.

Any other comments? - Room was very spacious for our party of 3. We were able to upgrade to this room when RCI opened it up to general sales. Room usually has a minimum of 5 required to book - I can't imagine staying in this room with 5 or 6 people - even if most were children. Room showed some wear - to be expected considering the ship is about to go into dry dock. Carpet had some patched spots, and bunks had areas on rails that needed painting. Otherwise, room was in pretty good shape. The view out the front of the ship was GREAT! Given another chance to book this room on an upgrade like I did this time, I would do it in a heartbeat. Just keep in mind that this stateroom is at the very front of the ship, so there's a bit of walking to get to the elevator banks - again, not a problem for us.

Ship - Jewel of the Seas

Deck - Nine

Stateroom # - 9258

Stateroom Category – D2

Starboard or Port Side - AFT Cabin or Sunset Cabin :)

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes and No. Not sure if our neighbors were moving furniture in the middle of the night ( a lot of thumping and bumping) :)or we were getting noise from a crew entrance???? This only occurred on a couple of nights.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – The Jewel has a wonderful "stepped" aft structure so, the views are truly 180 degrees with no obstruction. And, the fact that the Jewel "backed into" the ports always gave us a beautiful arrival. Not so much on departure, since we were sailing in Sept. and it was getting dark by the time we left many ports.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Very oversized! It is the normal width of a standard stateroom, however, it is very deep allowing a table and 2 chairs and 2 full sized loungers. Yippee!!

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No

Category inside (K?)

Starboard or port. Starboard

Fore or aft. Aft, just a few cabins behind the centrum stairs. Convenient to centrum and dining rooms
