My Embarkation was flawless. . .I should have waited until 10:45 to enter the Terminal. . .The check in took just 10 min. . .

As compared to the old terminal, is there a segregated section for priority check-in and boarding?

Radio,

How was the internet speed on the ship?

Maybe I missed your comment about the new technology.

Thanks

Don.

PS. RCCL should send you on cruises to promote their ships! You do a great job!

The Internet speed was very fast and reliable. . . I was able to post all images to my server and Cruise Critic !

We were on the 11/23 also. We had a 10:45 Priority boarding time. There was a section for Priority to the left as you pass through security. Check in was quick and simple. Clearing security was easy...then we waited and waited!

12 people delayed leaving the ship so we were held up for boarding. It was 11:15 before they started. They opened the doors and did not call out times or groups. It was a made rush for the door. The people behind us had 12:45 boarding times and it was only 11:15. Made no difference! The Suite top tier people were lined up in the corridor and the scanners did not work! They held up the line until someone could fix the scanners. Meanwhile, they boarded the general group.

It was total chaos with all of the accumulated passengers and the non functioning equipment. People that boarded later had no problems.

People that can't their butts off of the ship when their cruise is over are worse than those that prolong the muster drill by not showing up in a timely manner.

I had read or heard somewhere that these people were actually back to back cruisers and that there was confusion by RCL staff about the procedure. I believe that back to back cruisers are required to actually exit ship, get processed by immigration then get re-boarded. Usually they are escorted by staff off and through booking and back on. Could this have been the confusion that I heard about?

That wasn't our experience last Sunday, when everyone was even newer to the process, so I'm not sure why your experience was so different. From the time we parked our car, got into the terminal, through security and check-in and on the ship was fifteen to twenty minutes tops. Smoothest embarkation ever.:)

By February things should go even easier.

The issue was the new technology they used failed,I heard from others that if you arrived early or late it wasn't bad but from 11-1 it was a total mad house. Part of it was lack of signage to guide the herd where they needed to go. The biggest problem we encountered was we were traveling with a 93 year old and that was much too long for her to be standing. Because of the crowd and

Limited seating in the terminal it made it rather difficult.
