Paradise here we come, without regret

We sail Monday out of Tampa to Cozumel and the Cayman Islands on the Paradise. I just want to say we do this without regret. We know the Paradise is a "seasoned" ship. We know she is on the smaller end of cruise ships these days, we know she doesn't have a dozen different restaurants, we know she doesn't have a major water park. We also know she is beautiful, we know we can't even stay in a hotel for 5 nights for the price we paid which includes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, shows, bands and just relaxing. I know I won't be called in the middle of the night by work. I know I won't be reading emails everytime I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. This is our 5th time on her. Sometimes we don't even get off the ship when in port as we find that time some of the best times to relax on deck. Hope everyone on this board has a great Christmas. I know we are with this early last minute Christmas present.

So glad to hear good things about Paradise. We are set to go on our very first cruise next year on her with the same itinerary. Every time I search information for this ship its mostly negative. So any positive information and tips and pictures of your trip would be greatly appreciated for this nervous momma!!

We were just on her in OCT. It was a great cruise, there was a 3 piece violin group that played in the atrium bar most nights and they were fabulous. We also did the Chefs Table probably our 15 one and the meal was fantastic, and of course going under the Skyway Bridge at night is a great send off. Enjoy

"Paradise" is my "local ship" and I agree with you 100%. I've sailed this great little ship over, and over, and never get tired of the great service, fantastic crew, and excellent entertainment. I too, rarely leave the ship, as the ship is the "destination" for me.

Have a GREAT time aboard, and say HELLO to everyone for me.

Our first Carnival cruise (third overall for Dh and i together).

Cruise was FANTASTIC! Excellent service! Food on par with our Royal Caribbean cruises! Have a great time!

I will try to do a review tomorrow morning.

We are sailing on the Ecstasy over Christmas and doing so with the same attitude. All of our kids had other commitments and we decided to do this instead of sitting home looking at each other for a 3 day weekend. I know we'll enjoy the cruise even without all the "bells and whistles". We did the Sunshine in February and it was so overcrowded we didn't enjoy it at all.

Wishing you Bon Voyage!:D

I did this cruise on Paradise in October. A great ship with a great crew. Fun entertainment and good food. I had an awesome time. If you get a chance, do the Nachi Cocum all inclusive in Cozumel. Carnival stays in Cozumel a few hours longer so you can do the all inclusive and still do some shopping at the port.

Enjoy your cruise on Paradise.

It's Saturday night and we are soooo ready for Monday so we can board Paradise. This will be my third cruise on this ship. My first cruise was long ago when she was brand new and she was the only smoke free ship in Carnival's fleet. You couldn't even bring matches onboard and the casino air was nice and clean. Sadly, Carnival dropped the non smoking policy in 2003. We love sailing out of Tampa as we live nearby in Pinellas County. We'll be in one of the mini suites way up high on deck 11. We're doing anytime dining and are prepared to wait. We drove over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge last weekend and can't wait to sail under it on Monday. Bon voyage to the December 5th Paradise cruisers!

This is the type of excitement I love seeing on these boards.
