A wonderful choice for a room. Love the 'back door' approach to all things onboard! The Crown has the same set up and we too enjoyed our week living aft! I think the only time we made it forward was to go to the theater once, walking the promenade deck at sail away, and heading to the gym. Loved it!

We were in R728 on the Emerald. The posted photos do a good job of showing how the back door was great access to the Terrace Pool and the Cafe Caribe. The only down side was that the area by that back door on the PORT side was a designated smoking area. This spot was almost always in use which meant you had to walk through a cloud of smoke. It got to the point where we chose to use the aft stairs inside the ship instead to get to the buffet. Having a room on the starboard side would have eliminated this problem.
