Recent loyalty match

Has anyone completed the paperwork for loyalty match recently? Any guess on timeframe? We filled it out a while ago and was just wondering if maybe it didn't go through or if it was just taking longer because of it being closer to the end of the year and everyone wanting to take advantage of booking the seaside :-)

I sent my info in on dec 11 and when I called to check on it, they had no record of ever receiving it. After calling, holding, getting disconnected many times, I finally got some help and got it fixed today.

Not impressed

Hope the captain does a better job than the shoreside customer service

I originally submitted mine on December 11th. I waited a while and read some things on here and decided to resubmit last week, maybe 12/30. Still nothing.

Coincidentally, I had to call and book another room for the Seaside this past Monday for more who wanted to go and I mentioned it to the specialist and he said he would send an email to see if he could get it expedited and I still haven't heard anything.

While I'm not in a huge hurry since I don't plan to sail MSC until 2018 (maybe 2017 if I can find a good deal,) I would have expected this to take much less time.

Okay - here's a question...We have Elite status on Celebrity. We're about to book a cruise on MSC. They are apparently offering a 5% discount if we join their loyalty program and will match our Elite status. The questions are do we need to book first or apply for the loyalty program first in order to obtain the discount? Also, what level will we get on MSC to match Elite on Celebrity? Thanks!!!!

You can make the booking first and they will apply the discount after the match goes through. I booked first then submitted my RCI Diamond info. I had to call abck to get the fare adjustment.

With Elite you should get Black Card with MSC.

Is the price adjustment based on the price you paid or the current price, if there has been an increase?

Wondering which to submit. I'm platinum on Carnival and Emerald on Royal. Guess I need to do some searching.

We hadn't booked anything when we applied, have subsequently booked a Yacht Club suite on Fanatasia for next Christmas from Dubai! Got the 5% discount and Black card for Elite. I took screenshots of our Capt Club page as proof as we don't have updated cards.

So far, I'm not impressed with anything MSC does....I only hope our trip on DIVINA in May is a good one.

I submitted the Loyalty Match form twice on line, and, after several weeks, I called MSC and they had no record of either one. The lady I talked to gave me her email address, and asked that I email her a scan of my Princess Elite card, as well as all the other information that's normally on the on line form, and she would take care of it right away. That was on January 8th. I called yesterday and got a very nice lady who said she would have the lady I emailed the info to call me....she took my cell number. So far, nothing. I emailed her again today...we'll see.

To be honest, if I hadn't already convinced three other couples to go with us, and if I hadn't already bought airline tickets, I'd probably cancel (or at least pick a different cruise line and ship on the same departure date). It's been a total nightmare booking shore excursions (over two hours), getting confirmations, getting correct information, etc.

The only thing that's gone smoothly is when I entered the passenger information on line.

I know I have to go into this trip with an open mind. I've dismissed the bad reviews and am really looking forward to the experience. The ship looks stunning, and the entertainment looks great. That being said, MSC isn't making it easy.
