Now for the “rules“, there are just two (for now).

a) I am happy to answer questions especially when you are sailing on the Star in the near future. But I am on vacation so all questions where I have to put real effort in finding the answer will probably get ignored. Like "can you check who is the room steward of stateroom 11111?" "No thank you." If I ignore a post it is probably a polite hint.

b) I plan on adding mostly pictures to the posts. Please do not use full quotes especially with more than one picture in it. It always annoys me when I see that in other trip reports.

Looking forward to your review! We will be on the Star in November so can't wait to read your report! I would love to see pics of the new Jimmy Buffet bar, O'Sheehans, the night club at the back of the ship (can't remember the name) and anything else that looks updated since dry dock. We will be in the Garden villa, so if you happen to see one of those cabins, pics would be great. :). I know, I am reaching on that one. :p

I can help with this one. Yes, iconcierge is available on the Star. We were on the 5/11 Baltics cruised and used the app. Easy to download before your trip and easy to register once you get on board. The Star does not have the TV's set up to view your account so using iconcierge handles that as well as making dinner reservations.

To the OP, have a terrific vacation. A couple of pics of that unique Norway scenery would be a real treat.

Arrived in Copenhagen and the most important when flying and embarkation day. My luggage is here as well.

Nice treat as I have booked NCL transfer. Because we are so early the bus takes us in a short sight seeing tour before going to the port.

Finally on board the Star and got my pre purchased internet plan working.

The short sight seeing your was pretty nice with even two short stops and a bit of walking through this beautiful city.

When we arrived shortly before 11am check-in was already open and no wait at all.

Vacation has officially started.

After that I tried fish and ships at osheehans

I know never write inedible in a review but it was bad enough to not even care to eat half of it on a ship full of food. Huge decline compared to the blue lagoon on the spirit.

If you can't read it, it says 2 bags per platinum member. Might be because it's a 14 day cruise?

I am normally not a fan of darker wood colors but in this cabin it looks okay.

As an first impression the ship and the president bloc areas are in a good condition and the service so far is great as expected especially here

Great so far! I'm sailing on her in November... it's great to see the changes :)

I just got off the Star. Your review is bringing back lovely memories. We bought the Internet package on the second day of our 9 day cruise for $199. We used 1600 minutes, so it was well worth the money. My husband had work to do, but it was also nice to check the weather the morning before excursions. I know the dailies posted the weather, but it was good to get a more accurate forecast. The Internet was slow at times, but it was much better than what we had in the past.

3pm and I already had my luggage outside my stateroom. And of course the usual latitudes stuff

It is working nearly to smoothly so far. By the way the behind the scenes tour is tomorrow 9am so should not conflict with me meet and greet which is good.

I think his name is Hanno. Not sure as I am not in a suite.

Weather was sunny the whole day. In the sun tshirt and shorts weather. In the shades a lot fresher.

After sail away I tested sugarcane and can recommend it. Nice tasting mojitos and good service. Rumor is that they will remove the bar seating there and add more tables for moderno.

Dinner today was in Versailles

No complaints at all and I was out again after 60 minutes as I like it.

Today in the theatre is the welcome aboard show and after that probably spinnaker lounge.

The welcome aboard show was as usual although the female singer who has a show later this cruise had a pretty nice voice. At the now happening party in spinnaker lounge there are around as many on the dance floor as sitting around

Inside deck 12. So far I can absolutely recommend it for such a scenic cruise. Just a few steps to the open decks for watching the sea.
