PittsburghGirlee Posted July 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2017 For those of you that are CCL stockholders.....I received a Transaction Request Form in my statement yesterday. I do not ever remember receiving this in the past 8 years. Has anyone else received this? I am unsure how to complete the form??? Any help would be appreciated. Frank12 Posted July 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Been a stockholder since 2009. Never heard of this.
PittsburghGirlee Posted July 6, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 6, 2017 The form states that if u do not respond on the alloted timeframe, you are in danger of loosing your stock by default. This is my major concern. I usually just reinvest and do nothing :(. Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
jas1178 Posted July 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2017 If the form doesn't have confidential info, can you shoot a photo? Been a stock holder since '07 - never heard of it.
FruitStandaficionado Posted July 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Sounds like a scam. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare Steelers0854 Posted July 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Sounds like this came from your brokerage firm where you have your investment account. You would need to contact them and ask about the form.
PittsburghGirlee Posted July 6, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted July 6, 2017 I'll try again to attach a photo, it did not work when I tried to attach on my OP. Not a scam, it came in the same envelope as my CCL statement FROM Carnival Corp. Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app
martinchem Posted July 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Sounds like this came from your brokerage firm where you have your investment account. You would need to contact them and ask about the form. Agreed. Doesn't sound like it has anything to do with Carnival.
thinfool Posted July 6, 2017 #9 Share Posted July 6, 2017 You own your stock direct with CCL? No Broker? Call Carnival Corp. in Miami. Note: As you know Carnival Cruise and Carnival Corp are different entities.
SkyMaster Posted July 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted July 6, 2017 I too, have been a stock holder for a long, long time, and I too, have NEVER heard of anything like this,,,especially direct from Carnival. I'd be on the phone to Carnival, and head to my brokers office to find out about this,,,,for sure. "SKY"
tea4ular Posted July 6, 2017 #11 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Shareholder since the very early 2000s - also have never heard or seen anything like this. Even though it may "look" official, my (uneducated) guess (having not seen the document in question) is that it is not. What I do find odd, is that IF is is not official that some scammer has learned that the OP is a shareholder.
PittsburghGirlee Posted July 6, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted July 6, 2017 Not sure if it's going to load, but here is 1 pic of doc. Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app

PittsburghGirlee Posted July 6, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted July 6, 2017 This doc came WITH my investment plan statement. I tried calling, was on hold for 28 minutes and as soon as the representative came on the line, she hung up on me :(.. Sent from my SM-G900V using Forums mobile app So, from this and the other document, it looks like you are using ComputerShare as the brokerage firm on file. This looks like a standard letter telling you that they are requiring you to have some action on these stocks, or your account. This is not from Carnival, it is from your brokerage house. I would call Computershare and ask them to explain and provide more info. In the two scans you provided, there is no phone number, just a PO box in Louisville KY. I am sure they have to have some kind of customer service number.
PittsburghGirlee Posted July 6, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted July 6, 2017 That is all correct Charles. I have tried calling 2 times and have been on hold and disconnected both times. Thanks for everyone's advice greatly appreciate. I'm going to call my FA and see if he can handle this. winddawn Posted July 6, 2017 #17 Share Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) https://www-us.computershare.com/Investor/Contact 800 568 3476 Maybe you have fractional shares that need to be resolved. Computershare is not a traditional broker. Edited July 6, 2017 by winddawn
Sixtytwo Posted July 7, 2017 #18 Share Posted July 7, 2017 Hmmm...it looks like the very first line on the "instructions" section says "How to request a transaction...". It would seem (without reading every last word) that if you don't want to create a transaction, you don't have to do anything. I also notice the wording is not "American english" so I might be just a bit cautious whatever you do!
