  1. As has been posted here many times, bring a small bathroom size plastic trash bag ( 3 gallon) to line the inside of the laundry bag, which as you'll see are very cheaply made. Roll all the clothes you are sending to be cleaned, and methodically place them in the bag. You'll get far more in the bag than just stuffing the clothes in. Finally, when your clothes are returned, take time to remove all the orange/yellow tags they attach to each piece of clothing. If you don't, six months or so down the road you may be reminded of your cruise by having an itch in the strangest places!! Happy Cruising!!
  2. It will only show you fifteen of the cabins currently available for each section of the ship; front, mid, and aft, for the category you are researching. If you have your eye on a specific cabin that doesn't show as bookable, you have to call NCL to check on availability.
  3. Nothing better than cruise news from the future!! (JK)
  4. Boston -Bermuda-side trip up to Bar Harbor, Maine-back to Beantown
  5. AFAIK, if you don't get to 100% completion on your e-docs, ( i.e., missing picture, missing passport number, etc.) the system won't let you continue and your on-line check-in will have failed. You would then have to show up at the port and seek out an NCL agent and do your check-in at that point. That to me would not be a pleasant experience, but maybe others who have been through this will chime in with their thoughts.
  6. A little bathroom trivia. Does anyone know 100% what the words on the clothesline housing are? I think they are: Clothesline (American) Corde a linge (French?) Wascheleine (German?) Tendedero (Spanish?) And I could be all wet! Anyone?
  7. And you don't want to forget to remove those little yellow/orange tag!! Six months later you're unsuspectingly reminded of your cruise, sometimes in the worst places imaginable!!
  8. You need to put a picture in at home when doing your online check-in. The system won't let you continue the process without one.( At least that is the way it has been for our last three cruises, one only several months ago.) When you get to the photo section, there is an online camera you can use to take your picture. Head shot, no glasses as I recall. Might take several attempts before the "system" accepts the photo, but it is not hard to do.One out of the three times they retook our pictures at port check-in.Good luck!
  9. Our first cruise to Bermuda was in 2010. Second week of September. Humidity and temperature were oppressive. Next year, 2011, went a little later, last week of September to a few days in October. Still too much on the warm side. So then started going last week of October or first week of November. Weather is almost perfect, so much more enjoyable. And hurricane season is over! Obviously, you can't predict future weather on past statistics. But when historically Bermuda runs about 85 degrees in September, I would take that to mean there is a very good chance that you will have hot and humid weather! So now NCL ( We only cruise NCL from Boston. Less than an hours drive, and no flying!) has curtailed fall cruises to Bermuda from Beantown, in favor of more (evidently) profitable cruises to Northern New England/ Canada. Our only choice now, to beat the weather, is to cruise in April or early May.
  10. Usually two or three Hs!! Hazy. hot, and humid, or just hot and humid!!
  11. You could visit the caves, or maybe take an excursion on a glass bottomed boat and see lots of fish. My kids are 35 and 39, so not really up on other activities for preschoolers. Maybe "bluesea777" who lives on the island will chime in.
  12. How about an old fashioned pail and shovel at a wonderful Bermuda beach, or some time spent at the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo.
  13. Simply being on the ocean. The more sea days, the better! Watching spectacular sunrises and sunsets from my balcony.
  14. Tables are for 2,4,6,8 etc. Just book a table for four. You'll only pay for those who actually show up. You won't pay for a non-existant fourth person.
  15. Had them on our Pearl cruise in November. Only at dinner.
  16. It's not. My DW and I each received at least five reminders each to rewatch the video, after watching it at check-in.Plus had to view once again when we turned the cabin TV on.
  17. Anyone looking for something to do while in Bermuda, this is one of the funniest performances you'll ever see. Well worth the trip. A lot of audience participation. And the ferry ride over on The Spirit of St. Georges, (NCLs free high speed ferry), is also a blast. Enjoy!!
  18. Received both offers via USPS snail mail today. Which one do I choose?
