  1. The Spirit of St.George, the free ferry for NCL passengers that runs from the Dockyard to St. George.
  2. The only coffee I found to be somewhat palatable on our Pearl cruise last November was from the in-room single cup brewers. The buffet coffee tasted like colored water (no taste); the MDRs coffees weren't worth the trip; the French Pressed, as you said, was so thick you could paint your house with it, and no matter how I tried, I couldn't make the burnt taste in Starbuck's coffee go away.
  3. You'll get one free bag per cabin. Don't know if they will extend that to three bags for three weeks. Have never done more than a nine day, so not sure. The laundry bags are very small, as you probably know. We bring a small bathroom size trash bag (3 gallon?) to put inside the bag to reinforce it. Then roll each each piece of clothing to get more into the bag. Don't know what your latitudes status is, but a Platinum level you would each receive an additional free bag. Happy Cruising!!
  4. We were on the 4/8-4/15 sailing. Had no idea we were going to Maine until Sunday night, I think, when they started putting out excursion paperwork for Bar Harbor. Total surprise!! Didn't even get off the ship as we had been there a couple years before on a Canada/New England cruise and it was a cold/raw day. Also had visited there many times over the years by car. That was the cruise the barf bags came out just after leaving Beantown on Friday, and pretty much stayed out till we hit Bermuda on Sunday., The winds didn't abate till Tuesday, and all ferries and excursions were cancelled Sunday and Monday. We also had very little entertainment. A few guitar players/singers in the Atrium and Maltings; a 60s show (Aquarius). put on by the crew; an aerialist as i recall, and a few forgettable singer/impersonators in the theater. Legends in Concert didn't return until your cruise, IIRC.
  5. I didn't get one at the Cruise Next Desk. I think I just didn't bother to get one. But I'm really not sure .I'll have to hop in my time machine, go back a year when this thread started, (4/13/22), and attempt to refresh my memory.
  6. I should never make assumptions. They always seem to backfire! Oh well, live and, hopefully, learn. But still, have a great cruise!
  7. Have had them on the bigger ships. Can't recall having any on the Dawn, though it's been pre-covid since we sailed on her. Soft serve, chocolate sauce, and milk work just fine!!
  8. Don't forget to make final payment at 120 days! I see you're from RI and doing a Canada/NE, so assume you are on the Pearl out of Beantown. The main show, Legends in Concert, was done the last night ( 2 shows) with no tickets or reservations required. There were/are no big production shows onboard. If you are doing any specialty restaurants, you can also book them at the 120 day mark. You'll get the best times online by booking early, like at 12:01 AM on the 120th day. This info was valid on our November 2022 cruise to Bermuda from Boston. If anything has changed, I'm more than certain that one of our resident fact checkers will be more than happy to chime in! Happy cruising!!
  9. There are sites to sell them. Unmentionable here , of course.
  10. We wish she were back in Boston. Our favorite NCL ship. Not too big, not too small.Just the right size. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but we're past that. Had most of our memorable meals at sea on the Dawn. So don't listen to the naysayers. Approach the cruise with an open mind, and hopefully you'll have a great time!
  11. From the past: Profiteroles and the chocolate fondue at LeBistro. Recently: Chocolate lava cake at Cagney's or Indigo on the Pearl Past and present: Soft serve whenever you (I) want it!!
  12. Still over 100,000 cases being reported in US, and over 1300 of us dying weekly ( as of stats from last week). Bermuda currently has , as of today, 10 infected persons and no deaths since April 1. ( They have lost 165 Bermudians.). With your known health concerns, I think it would be a wise idea to take extra precautions. Avoiding crowded elevators, crowded venues, crowds in general. Wear a mask where necessary. Make sure covid shots are up-to-date. Ensure you have travel / medical insurance, just in case. That would be my plan. I, too, am in my early seventies. Still enjoying life , but doing so with extra precautions. Happy cruising!!
  13. BeaverPT- You look just like Wally's little brother. It's uncanny!!
  14. Comes back in much better shape than we can do at home. Just remember to remove the little tags they affix to each laundry piece. Or six months down the road, you'll be thinking to yourself "what is that da*** itch"!!
  15. Going rate seems to be $29. To the OP. As has been discussed here on CC ad-nauseum, the bags are small to ridiculous, so roll your clothes before putting in bag. You'll fit lots more rolled than just packed in willy-nilly.
  16. Don't know of any NCL ship that has laundry facilities. That doesn't definitively mean there are none, just that I don't know of any. But they'll be happy to do your laundry for you- for a price, of course!
  17. We did this same cruise last year. (4/8-4/15). The Bermuda Travel Authorization and testing was still in place. Still hadn't received confirmation come the morning of 4/6, so had to call to "nudge" the process along. Made mistake of using the main number on the website, not the toll-free number. Started at 22nd caller in their "queue". My "mistake" cost me $75.00 on my next months phone bill. Lesson learned!! Sailed again ( same cruise) in October/ November. Travel authorization was sill in place, but testing had stopped a week before we cruised. Happy Sailing!
  18. Thanks to John Denver, who wrote " Leaving on a Jet Plane" in 1967, and to Peter, Paul, and Mary ( Mary on vocals and Peter and Paul singing harmony), who recorded the song in 1969 and made it the hit it became. Miss them both!
  19. Yes. Chocolate, whole, and 1% on our last cruise.
  20. Even though it will still be early, make your specialty dining reservations to ensure you get the times you want. Show reservations, if applicable, are at 21 days. Final payment at 120 days. Outside of that, relax and count down the days.( which always increase in length somehow the closer your cruise gets!). Happy Cruising!
  21. Go to NCL's website. Scroll down to the bottom of page. Click on "Accessible Cruising". Should answer all your questions.
