  1. Yes taxi or Uber are the best. Public transport is more complicated to that terminal.
  2. It can be construction or maybe some event at the regular cruiseterminal. You can send them anemail with your question. info@cruiseportamsterdam.com
  3. No not difficult at all if you - as suggested- drive to against the clock. Then you more or less decend all the time. The other way -clockwise- you will climb and probably miss some of the sights. I have no idea about a rental agency in Andalsness however, but google might help you with that. We started at around 9, made a lot of photo stops, had lunch and drinks enroute and incl. the stop in Mt.Aksla in Alesund were back at 5 pm.
  4. I hope you can open en and read this recent article in Travel Weekly. Excellent and actual report about the safety in Mexico. https://www.travelweekly.com/Mexico-Travel/Insights/What-to-know-about-recent-Mexico-travel-warnings
  5. We did the Trollstigen by rental car from Alesund. Avis has an office not too far from the cruise terminal. Easy to drive yourself, but driving ägainst the clock" is easier since you will decend and not climb. Make it a nice roundtrip with a stop at Mt. Aksla on the return. We left about 9 and incl. various stops and lunch we returned around 5 pm/.
  6. Along Playa los Muertes you will find various restaurants offering food, bathroom and chairs. Some of them like La Palapa, Eldorado and Si Señor are more upscale and also offer loungers at a surcharge, plus of course the charge for food and drinks. . As far as I know you can make reservations for that. Near the pier a.o. is Cuates and Cuetes, offer good food but is more a regular beach restaurant. I just names a few, there are of course more restaurants out there. Please be aware the ocean most of the time is rather quiet, but also can be rather rough. Never trust an ocean if you are not used to it.
  7. Amsterdam is very walkable and has excellent public transportation. At Centraal Station you will find trams (streetcars) and buses into all directions, also some canalcruises from there.. If you prefer musea like Rijks or Stedelijk then Marriott is closer, however farther away from the cruise terminal. Check e.g. Google maps for locations.
  8. Rent a golfcart in Catalina and drive around.
  9. There is this viewpoint close to the center in Puerto Vallarta. It means getting up on many steps, but it is worth it. However do it as early in the morning as possible as it might get too hot. Bring water! Take a cab to get to the bottom at Abasolo, . Cabs in the terminal charge person, outside per ride. Always make your price before entering. The same for the return or take a bus back (10 Pesos each) that says e.g. aeropuerto, ixtapa. It stops close to the cruise terminal. Be aware it also says Walmart, but check it goes to the Walmart in the port not to the other one. .https://www.puertovallarta.net/what_to_do/cerro-de-la-cruz-lookout/
  10. We did thee trollroad ourselves by rental car. Avis has an office not too far from the cruise terminal in Alesund. We loved it, could stop where ever we wanted. The easiest way to do it is against the clock since you then decend and not drive up.
  11. You will find certified guides (they will show you their licence). at various ports, like also in Puerto Vallarta. They can offer all kind of excursions, short or lang, private or with a small group. Discuss with them what you might want to see or do and you will have a great (yes and safe) time. Of course make the price before entering their van. Also cabdriver will offer their service, but their english and their information is in general not as good as the guides.
  12. In case you also want to take the hopon off bus, they also sell tickets incl. the funicular.
  13. Next to the cruise terminal in Rotterdam is Hotel New York, which once was the headoffice of HAL. The restaurants is worth a visit. A bit more farther away is the former ss Rotterdam, now a hotel with restaurant. Also worth a visit.
  14. Carnival Panorama seems to dock on Pier 3 all the time. Navigator of the seas the same but on pier 2. Bliss indeed docks often at 1 or 3. Recently Zaandam was supposed to dock on 1, but ended being on 3. This because the captain decided for that dock because of an repair which would be easier from dock 3 then 1. Also the luxury yacht Atessa V - a regular guest- docks at 2, but if cruise ships need to dock there it sails out into sea. So you never know.
  15. No that is not true. It depends also in the frequency a ship comes and its size. Even when planned to dock on a certain pier the captain might ask for another one depending e.g. maintenance. It can be planned on pier 1 but might end at pier 3.
  16. As you probably expect, nobody knows since it is depends on the weather and rainfall.
  17. No it is just public beach access. So bring your towels etc. Often vendors will come with many items also incl. fruits and sometimes drinks. On your way to this beach you can buy drinks at the Chedraui supermarkt almost next to the cruise terminal. If you want to chairs and drinks better buy a daypass in one of the hotels.
  18. The bus leaves from very close to the terminal. I donot know about tickets, but this site might help you. https://vallartourbus.mx/?lang=en
  19. I have read in another posting that indeed Celebrity seems to offer a shuttle.
  20. As far as I know it still runs. https://www.katakolon.org/tourist-fun-train/
  21. Lots of frequent trains between SCHIPHOL (the correct name!) and Amsterdam Centraal Station. https://www.ns.nl/en
  22. Try to book AF house first. It can be 11.30/ 12 noon or after that. Best chance is on the 1st Tuesday of the month before you arrive. Tickets sell fast. https://www.annefrank.org/en/museum/tickets/
  23. Have a look at this site with lots of information about food in Puerto Vallarta. Also maps and more. https://vallartainfo.com/street-food/ We also like La Burrita Marinera, it is a small eatery close to the stadium. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g150793-d14106286-r783140233-La_Burrita_Marinera-Puerto_Vallarta.html
