  1. Port excusion and shopping seminars may be boring but they do give out some decent free excusion prizes if you stay till the end.
  2. The playlist production singers are very good on Panorama. They sing well and put on a good show.
  3. To avoid line up, do this on port day. The ropes course was quite scary especially the rope bridge. But I made it.
  4. On my Mex cruise last month, HOHO dropped the price from $39 to $25 at the pier. Guess the tour was not selling well.
  5. Gun trucks and fully armed soldiers patrolling around Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I felt like a well guarded VIP on a state visit. Can't ask for better protection.
  6. Kona has Hop On Hop Off to get you around.
  7. It takes experience and practices to read a situation correctly. You can't expect this from many newly hired staff from a different culture who are practically learning their jobs on the fly. Give them time. They will get a hang of it eventually.
  8. How about a new Carnival policy of Minding Your Own Business unless you are directly involved.
  9. I doubt any of the staff wants to ask you questions or interrupt your meals if it is up to them. Why would they? They have enough to do as is. Most likely they are told to do it by higher up as part of their job.
  10. Ocean Liquor Market directly across from cruise terminal. 233 N Harbor Blvd A, San Pedro.
  11. Soda package is now printed on your sea card. Just show your card to the server/bar tender. Soda cup no longer required.
  12. Price seems ok. If you don't care about sugary soda package, you can buy internet only at $13.99/day.
  13. Unless I am mistaken, internet is fully refunable before boarding. Lock in the price now. You can always cancel later.
  14. So long as the uniformed keep getting fooled and falling for it, the scheme works.
  15. Solid police and accident investigation evidence. What is so wrong with this?
  16. MSC used to give $50 OBC to book on board. Is this no longer the case?
  17. All 2024 Japan cruises are gone from X website. What is going on?
  18. They don't need to. Whatever RCCL did behind the scene is enough to keep the gangs happy and leave Labedee alone. If you think Labedee is not a target, just look at how desperate the Haitians are. Many of them live in total proverty and have practically nothing.
  19. A flimsy fence and gate topped with rusty barb wire a pick up truck can easily crashes through. And does anyone really think those rent-a-cop armed guards ( I counted 4 last time I was there) would lay their lives on the line to protect a bunch of foreign tourists off a cruise ship when leads fly? Perception can sometimes be misleading. That said, if anyone feels comfortable visiting Labedee, by all means go.
  20. Haiti government and police are outgunned, under siege 24/7 and barely able to fend for themselves, never mind providing security in Labadee. Although I am speculating here, I won't be surprised RCCL and the local gang controlling the area may have some sort of behind the scene arrangement to leave Labadee alone in exchange for economic or monetary benefits aka protection money. This is usually how businesses are done in the third world where central government is dysfunctional, leaving local armed gang or warlord to become the de facto ruler in the area they control.
  21. Read the TA fine print and research them on google before you commit. Some TAs may give you extra perks but would charge admin penalty if you cancel or their after booking services are subpar.
  22. People are getting way too sensitive these days. Just chill and go with the flow.
