  1. They do not serve proper cold brew but you can of course get nearly any hot espresso drink served iced instead.
  2. There are 2 VIP cruises before the public inaugural on the 3rd. Ascent is leaving FLL right now. 🤣 She posted it on her own Instagram with 442k subscribers. She was invited by Celebrity. No expectation of privacy there. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0PhTiyp63O/?igshid=ZDE1MWVjZGVmZQ==
  3. The fact that your cruise was underway when Israel was bombed on Oct 7th is the glaring difference here. Other than substitute safer ports there was very little they could do. Cut the cruise early? How much OBC would you have wanted for missed days and last minute travel expense?
  4. Are you sure you actually have All Included? The single cabins don't automatically come with that. You still chose (and pay accordingly) to upgrade to All Included. Check your order history to see if there is a drink and WiFi package listed with $0.00 cost.
  5. Log in under his profile and it will show his.
  6. The Unlimited Specialty Dining Package (unlimited dinner plus sea day lunch) is 35% off for two upcoming cruises. I don't recall seeing this package offered recently but even at $818 for a 9 night cruise it's an appealing offer to me.
  7. It sounds like you booked a Veranda Guarantee not an Infinite Veranda Guarantee. There is a difference between the two.
  8. They never said anything about a limited menu. It’s just a credit toward your bill. This has been in place for several years. If you spend in excess of the $45/pp credit for dinner, you owe the remainder.
  9. Makes sense. All Included needs a refresh. Princess and HAL offer a more incremental option which Celebrity will likely match. There’s one thing certain. People will complain no matter what is offered. X Pass doesn’t go on sale fleet wide until December 1.
  10. Then that explains what you are seeing. Cruise Only on Aqua Class just recently became available. Until then AQ (and Retreat) only displayed All Included because that was your only option. The lower categories always started out with the Cruise Only price.
  11. The US site has never shown upgraded pricing as the base price unless it was a category that was only offered as All Included (AQ and Suites). I doubt the Canadian website was any different. You are upgrading for more inclusions not discounting off the base price to take Cruise Only.
  12. I never differentiate between refundable and nonrefundable. I cash it all out on the slot machines early on then spend as I normally would. Either way it's essentially a cash rebate back to me. Then the onboard purchases are charged to my credit card where I earn 3x points on the spend.
  13. Dollar amounts don’t really matter since prices vary so wildly. You may be in a $700 inside or a $70,000 Iconic Suite. In my experience OBC equal to 10% of the fare is very easy to achieve, 20% or close to it is possible but all things must align (onboard booking, TA, Celebrity, bonus, Amex, etc). You can’t get OBC for price drops after final payment anymore so that source isn’t so relevant now.
  14. Probably June. We did a similar itinerary last year in early Sept. It was nice but I am doubtful we do any more Med cruises. Cruises have ruined places like Santorini.
  15. Doing excessively long cruises seems a bit like a strange Cruise Critic flex. We’re far from retirement and have other obligations so it’s not even an option or consideration for us. Realistically I think around 10 days is my limit. I have no desire to tour that much or eat ship food (whether it’s good or bad) for that long. I also don’t have the time to commit to that much advance planning.
  16. Why are people so offended by this? It’s an incentive to get new bookings. You booked at a price you agreed to pay otherwise you would not have booked at all. They do not owe you a lower price because it’s a made up holiday. The car I bought recently has a better discount on it now, I recently I recently saw airfare at a price less than I paid for the same flights. I’m sure the TV we bought last year is cheaper now. Do all of those companies owe me money? Not hardly. They could change the US rules to mirror the UK rules and discontinue any price adjustments. That seems like it would eliminate the problem.
  17. I haven’t followed Celebrity social media groups in years but even I recognize the name of the person the YouTuber is quoting. They always have a big dramatic story unfolding with juicy insider info that often seemed made up. Now the YT’er makes more money from the clickbait.
  18. Hopefully not. Orlando Strip Mall of the Seas is well covered by the Royal Caribbean fleet.
  19. There's no conflict there since these are two entirely different goods and services. Microsoft does not wholly own or control all use of the word Excel. You could probably find another company using the same word or brand as any ship name out there such as Xcel Energy.
  20. It's Excel or Xcel - the filing for Vertex is dead. Xcel is the more recent filing that was submitted right before Vertex was scrapped so it's pretty safe bet that it is Xcel. A few online travel agencies already have Xcel loaded into their list of Celebrity ships too.
  21. Because of all the hype around perceived food quality I’m pretty sure they could swap standard beef for prime beef and people would still complain or think it’s “bad”. Unless there are a bunch of USDA and AMS experts onboard (expertise not from your recent Google search) there’s not much to say that is widely understandable in terms of actual food grading and classification.
  22. Since 2016 I have bought Book Later certificates onboard and chosen the actual cruise later. I too have never experienced what you are explaining. You get the OBC from the onboard booking incentive (although your OBC window may have ran out by now) then whatever the available rate once you book an actual cruise. They never lock in rates in advance or promise perks ahead of time. You get what you get once you book a cruise.
  23. Like I said, if you’re wanting great wines, you know to skip the glass and buy the bottles. You’re not getting $50+ bottles offered by the glass.
