  1. Now this is weird... anyone else on the ship with an Air Tag? Is it showing your luggage there in France? Ascent came from the boat yard there... but the Air Tag is sitting here in my cabin.
  2. I got breakfast up there this morning as had a lovely Swedish massage from 8-9:20. I thought the Greek Salad bar was strange... but I guess folk eat that for breakfast?
  3. @Georgia_Peaches thanks to your heads up I did head straight to Oceanview Cafe for the lunch extravaganza today and then brought up to retreat bar table. Lobster tails, crawfish, mussels, scallops, goat cheese, asiago cheese, and a hunk of pork loin skin (just nibbled a bit). There were tons of shrimp but I didn't have room. Yum!
  4. Sorry lunch was slow for you and the drinks were mis-delivered. Did they put them down at an empty table?! You'd think if someone was sitting there they'd have said they weren't theirs. On my way up with dessert I stopped at the Retreat Lounge which was empty. The bartender wasn't sure about my dessert wine but Laura was there and she went in the back with him and they found it and he put in a bar refrigerator. Well worth another $2. Sipping on it slowly this afternoon. Laura also fixed my account. The app didn't show my spa appointment for tomorrow morning or my folio. Apparently I wasn't linked as passenger to the cruise that I'm on solo.
  5. I went ashore for an hour and looked around the shops but didn't purchase anything. For lunch The Grand Bistro (upcharge) had appetizers calling my name. I wasn't hungry enough for an entree. They kindly packed to go. The Retreat Sundeck Bar area was much busier as serving lunch but I was able to get an empty table, thankfully with cutlery as The Grand Bistro hadn't supplied. The mussels in tomato sauce, garlic bread, toasted bread, pate and even the fries were all delicious! I was hoping to fill in the spaces with Eden Cafe's maple bacon bites, but alas, no bacon bites. They have free and paid food. The desserts are free and rival Cafe Al Bacio! And there's always room for dessert. Brownie on the undercooked moist chewy side and the cookie fat packed and bendy. I'll need to go walk around more.
  6. I also went to breakfast about 8:30 and brought upstairs to eat. Tasty omelette and potatoes but the bacon could be crispier. It was still quiet up top. Tried half glass of strawberry smoothie and didn't like at all.
  7. I met @Georgia_Peaches and she said I could add more to her trip report. Thought we were going to pull in next to Oasis of the Seas but instead the captain backed her in. Great parallel parking! (screenshot from a short video) Had a bit of a view before Carnival Vista arrived 2 hours later.
  8. @Georgia_Peaches I'm so sorry. Got a little excited yesterday. Ceasing and desisting to post more on your thread.
  9. The menus for both are in the app. You can use the app to look at any menu for any ship currently sailing, you don't have to be on the cruise to do so.
  10. They finally seem to understand folk would like some shade options! There were a lot more outdoor smaller sitting areas all around the boat, a good number with shade, these are just two of them.
  11. The Eden Cafe outdoor space was empty this afternoon as the Cafe wasn't open. Ate a tartlet here.
  12. Wow! Ascent is lovely. I arrived at 11:15 and was onboard at 11:30. S1 10123 is a fantastic location right behind the forward elevators right up to the retreat decks. Met my retreat host Ivan and the head butler Miljan. Asked to make sure I was signed up for Go Green ( which I did pre cruise online). I need those points to get to Elite after this trip. I'm not actually having my cabin serviced although Miljan said Ivan could wear a mask and come do it if I wanted. I got a short sleeve light hot weather robe and a kettle to heat up the water for my eye mask in the morning. Luminae is putting my meals with covers to go and I'm bringing up to the retreat deck bar area on my tray. Had to eat in the more covered part tonight after the rain went through this afternoon and wet down all the uncovered chairs at the tables. I had the halibut with potatoes for lunch (didn't like the veggie sides) and the poached lobster and red snapper for dinner. Then went back down and brought up dessert. The chocolate palet was so good! And I'm chocolated out as Cafe al Bacio had my favorite chocolate tartlets today and I ate three... and have 2 in the fridge for later as they might not show up again this cruise. Laura in the Retreat Lounge kindly rustled up a bottle of late harvest wine for me from Luminae to keep in the lounge. $19 a glass so only $2 extra pay for me. Says there's a Canadian ice wine shot size for $48 which I plan to try tomorrow. Will get that in Luminae. I visited Blu about 4:30 and was told no issues eating there during the cruise. I stopped there first just past 5:30 and they put me in the far back corner. I tried the appetizer macadamia nut-crusted sea scallop (which was better on paper) and the creamy crab bisque, taking a few bites and putting my mask back on while I ate. No one was near me at that early time. Yes, I like seafood! I wandered the whole ship several times. The rooftop garden area is pretty. I was unimpressed with the horribly uncomfortable chairs along the back of Eden and the hanging swinging chairs with the backs right against the walls so you can't actually swing. Thought The Cosmopolitan was the prettiest of the 4 main dining rooms. The shower combo unit in the suite bathtub is wonderful. I made the water super hot. Can have come from the big overhead shower or out the two horitzontal jets or out the shower wand or out the spout into the tub.
  13. Happily early arrival of my flight into FLL this afternoon. And no rain. I would have moved quickly to that special lunch.
  14. Joining late. Happy Belated Anniversary! Enjoyed catching up with all the comments and pictures. I need to start packing soon as I'm flying down tomorrow to join you on Sunday in an S1 forward deck 10. Leaving behind my husband who doesn't cruise with my 6 month old rescue kitten Clancy. This will be my first Edge class. Decided against snorkeling in Nassau this time as I just dove the Disney Epcot tank twice last week and want to just explore and enjoy the ship. You can recognize me as one of the few folk wearing a mask. I pack a tray to bring food back to my cabin which has worked well... might pop upstairs from Luminae to the outside deck instead.
  15. Blu open. No room service breakfast. Don't believe Spa Cafe open.
  16. I was told if didn't show up before cruise in Nov that I could ask to have GoGreen first day on board.
