  1. And check out that thrill ride off the aft! You get plunged directly into the sea after boarding the red submarine capsule thingy.
  2. Uh...they need to hurry up and fill up that water basin, and finish painting, otherwise you're on the "Carni" ship!
  3. Noooo! Try the Celebration! We did not get any spam of any kind all week. No art auctions ads, no spa promos, and no liquor sale flyers. It was great!
  4. Just off the newest ship the Celebration, and can confirm there was a dedicated space for the art auction. I was happy to see that the art wasn't displayed all over the public areas though.
  5. On the Celebration this week, and I can 100% confirm that Guy’s fries have been “dumbed down” so that they are just regular fries with a slight dusting of spice. Picture from 15 minutes ago. Pure sadness…
  6. Does anyone have the listing for the May Dive-In movies? Sailing the Celebration in 9 days, so need to know! Thanks!--CeleBrat
  7. We always bring along one can of Pringles for that crunch. Or we'll hit a local convenience/grocery in one of the ports to pick up a bag of local chips.
  8. So happy to see your review, as we are sailing the Celebration 5/7 with the same itinerary. Do you know, or can you find out if ChiBang and the Italian restaurant are free with Anytime Dining? Happy sailing!
  9. I have used my Barclay's rewards for statement credit, which is "like" OBC since I use the card for my onboard expenses. And, there's the added bonus of getting double points for $ spent while onboard a Carnival cruise.
  10. Stayed on deck 1, interior with portholes aaaalllllllll the way up front. Like a previous poster said, the rattling and loud engine noise (like a lawnmower) when we were docking was nearly unbeatable but it did get us out of bed and started with our day.
  11. I get that most people won't book an additional cabin to skirt the rule. My point is that this rule is punitive for no reason, as many parties travel with several cabins (extended family/friends), and certainly there is CHEERS sharing going on amongst cabins. So why penalize a pregnant spouse?
  12. I really don't understand the reasoning behind this rule. They are assuming that ONLY people sharing a cabin would be so bold as to try and "share" CHEERS? What's to stop someone from sharing their CHEERS package with another party member who is traveling in an alternate cabin. It's a frustrating rule.
  13. Just...ick. Why was the dust not found and mitigated in the normal day-to-day cleaning? And after "throwing something down a stairwell" did the crew just pick it up and place it back on the buffet without cleaning it or dust and/or floor germs/dirt?
  14. I can close this out, since it's my thread. Sailed the Sunrise 12/12, and got a free bottle of wine in the Steakhouse the first night!
  15. Connecting balconies, for sure! That doubles the # of bathrooms you get, as well as double the space on the balcony! We sailed that way once and it was glorious!
  16. Nope. I have assorted offers, ranging from $130-$695. How is $695 an offer??? And the $130 is for Australia, which we won't be traveling to from the US. Whereas the others are $164 for short 3-day cruises. No thanks.
  17. We got a notification for our last cruise that tips (among other things) would be increased, so it is a little frustrating to once again have a notification for our upcoming cruise that tips are increasing again. Here's the last increase letter... April 4, 2022Dear Carnival Guest,Effective with all cruises departing on or after May 1, 2022, we are making adjustments to our recommended onboard gratuity guidelines, as follows: - Standard staterooms: $14.50, per person, per day- Suites: $16.50, per person, per day
  18. I have searched several times since you've posted this, and don't find anything that comes up for $50. Clearly, they are only visible to select people. The cheapest I've found is $134 for a 3-day BAJA from California. ???
  19. Just off the Sunrise recently, and we said the same thing. Grabbed a traditional GUY's burger as our "welcome aboard" lunch, and the buns were so...plain and "meh." Were they previously toasted, or buttered or something? They tasted like standard generic grocery store buns, that were day-old. We swore off Guys for the remainder of that cruise.
  20. The ships that sail to Alaska would beg to differ...
  21. Exactly! I actually had a free casino cruise earlier this year (I don't gamble), and ended up spending about $50 total in my onboard expenses. I also used the $25 Platinum casino credit in the casino, and cashed out slightly higher than $25. High roller...that's me!
  22. Controversial opinion: those receiving free cruises (and free drinks) shouldn't have those cruises count toward their VIFP points.
