Thank for your reply.... we have spent 100+ nights on the golden and enjoy the Grand Class ... the crew on the golden was amazing.. particularly the way they would remember us from past cruises... generally we do not do many shows but do enjoy the musical performances on board.. Cheers Don

Hi All, We will be on the Grand in November this year, and wondering what the condition of the ship is knowing it was built in 1998 and had a refit in 2019. How are the cabins we will be in an aft suite Heard something about the stairs aft of the piazza don't go all the way up and down is this so Also Where is the club class dining room, and where are suite breakfasts held. and are canapes before dinner held in One 5 on deck 15.... the only grand class ship we have been on in the Golden which is now part of P&O Thanking you for your time Don

Covid yes one is over it....... Holidays are not the same..... starting to think our Nov cruise to NZ is only 90% now..... A world cruise....... Mr Lotto first and a big one at that ..... Thanks Les I get 300g from woolies for $17 and sometime get an extra 100g if it is on special Just about to pour my G&T a Bombay Sapphire with a zero sugar Tonic so it is extra healthy and a great way to celebrate dry july...😌 Cheers Don

Cash ??? I think so, since Covid we switched from Cash for food money to card... cash made budgeting easy.... but we card.... you don't notice the great increase in grocery prices .... Every day does seam the same now a days, gone is shops shutting a noon on saturday Cheers Don

Well Les .... actually the 2k is for all extras on the ship... The most we have spent is $1400 we help from the other half.... rule of thumb I say $100 per day for the two of us

This This why one buys by the bottle..... have always allowed $2000 for OBA for a 13 nights If the prices go up much more.. we might go over.... but we are on holiday and there is always one for the road... Cheers Don

It is always hard my dad battled for many years yet it was still a shock... my partner's mum end up in a home, and stopped talking... her dad was in and out of hospital for his last 6 months, and his last month was at Epworth where they were amazing.... it is still very sad... My Mum is is the same age as the Queen and the Family home, of 55+ years we live about 3 minutes away, she still drives just locally, and is happy in her own home, we see her most days.... Right a change time to think about our next cruise in November this year...... I raise my G&T... to all those who have past..... and have left us great memories Don

What about if their phone goes flat, loses signal, or google maps takes them the wrong way.... Or they drop their phone....... ( Even though I thought some had it glue to their hand ) Only Joking....... but I didn't think they plan things that far in advance....... Cheers Don

Hi Leigh... Sorry to hear about your Mum..... My Mum is 96 and has been having a lot of bad days since December 2021 when she spent 2 weeks in Hospital. So thinking about you Don

100% Correct Les.... a free set of steak knives are on the way... We have now reached 100 nights on our favorite apartment there here is a view looking straight out. Cheers Don
