  1. As far as I know, none of the Holland America ships have glass on the railings of the promenade decks or the aft view by the seaview pool.
  2. Added bonus to waiting until you are onboard is using OBC!
  3. Did you talk with anyone about this while you were onboard?
  4. What a nice review! I'm glad that you and your family had a wonderful time.
  5. We did not tender in Trondheim on the NS in May. Not our ship
  6. Q1 - No! A passport does not replace needing a visa. Both would be needed if a visa is required. Q.2 Correct Q3 - No, the passport is not required when you book but will be required as a part of your online check in process prior to the cruise (if required for the cruise). Your passport will certainly open up some wonderful new opportunities for travel! Enjoy!
  7. Thanks so much for the information! We're not going until 2025 but I enjoy planning😊
  8. That looks like a great alternative to Volunteer Point! Did you get a price? Thanks!
  9. I find that is the best way to find the official port schedule. I haven't found other sites to be as reliable.
  10. Maybe it goes to the people who clean it? Wash the towels and robes? Similar to cabin steward and other laundry duties.
  11. That was the case for us in Amsterdam in May. We were given a time frame to check in at the muster station.
  12. The only OBC I know for sure that is refundable is that which is given to us by our travel agent.
  13. If you have refundable OBC you can cash it out and tip them directly. But otherwise I'm not sure how it could be done. I hope someone else can offer a better suggestion!
  14. I have read that on one of the roll calls I've been going thru for excursion ideas for our 2025 trip. Sorry I can't remember which country it was but it seemed to be a requirement. I hope someone with a better memory or first hand knowledge will come along with a more definitive answer for you but I do know I have read that on CC before.
  15. Our TA can arrange for late dinning for us. I would imagine she could do early dinning if that is what we wanted.
  16. It is available in ST. Thomas https://coralworldvi.com/dolphin-splash-swim/
  17. I thought the Military OBC was only available for new bookings only. Is that not the case?
  18. Just wanted to add as an update - We had our appointment on Tuesday and received our cards in the mail on Saturday!
  19. We only cruise every couple years or so. We have not seen all of the shows or gotten tired of the same old menus. I'm sure that's bound to happen though for those who cruise multiple times a year over many years. We have multiple land trips scheduled between now and our next cruise. I can guarantee I won't remember what was on the menus of our last cruise!
  20. I would leave my luggage at the hotel, enjoy a stroll and last lunch in Amsterdam and then make my way to the port.
  21. If you only booked two weeks ago, it is not too late to transfer your booking to your TA. Have you tried logging in on the HAL website to check if you do have the crew appreciation? If you try to prepay them under your booking it will not allow the purchase.
  22. I'd have to disagree. Even here, in a rural, touristy area, we're paying more than that in very mid -range restaurants. I would rate the PG above these places and worth the surcharge.
  23. Wow, that is a lot for a 7 day cruise! It must be a pretty full ship. That's more than we paid to go from a veranda cabin to a Neptune for 14 days in May on the NS but there were only 2 of us.
