  1. You can take the little single serve ones, but not the big bottles.
  2. Happy to see your post! I figured it was time for another MeganGC1983 adventure!
  3. Everytime I've booked a cabana at HMC we share with our traveling "group" (usually 8 of us). We don't need extra floats, snorkel sets, food, or drinks, so we just book it "as is", without accounting for the extra people. We all just hang out in front of the cabana, on the plentiful loungers which are open to everyone, and share the food, drinks, and equipment.Truthfully, we usually have leftovers, which go to waste! I highly recommend cabana 10 or 9. They're far from the action, but somewhat of a hike to the food pavilion. Restroom are behind them, so it's very convenient.
  4. This was the case when we cruised on the Sunshine years ago. We were on a Med cruise, and no one questioned wine or liquor (Limoncello!!) brought onboard at ports.
  5. I've never ordered dessert there! Always too full from the heavy German food 😄 and generous portions!
  6. Happy to go along on this adventure with you (virtually, that is! 😉). You're currently in my neck of the woods. Edelweiss is about an hour from my home, and we've stayed at Comfort Suites in Troutville. Our kids went to VA Tech, so that's a much-travelled road for us! I'm looking forward to another great review!
  7. I usually get up at midnight, log on and select my port arrival time, but wait to do the other required information the next day (when I'm more awake!😁). You can just breeze through and hit "skip for now". It's not necessary to complete the check in, unless you want to!
  8. Dear heavens!! What a terrible experience! I've come to hate flying, because you're at the mercy of the airlines, and they don't seem to care. I know weather and other issues happen, but there's no excuse for the customer service attitudes. We've had several bad experiences, but NOTHING like yours. Wow...just WOW!
  9. On our Miracle cruise to Hawaii, it was almost impossible to get seating in the Lido restaurant. Many groups camped out there, playing cards, with no regards for the passengers who were looking for seating during the lunch service. It was very frustrating! Please be mindful of fellow passengers looking for seats during lunchtime hours.
  10. Always a pleasure to join you (remotely from VA) on your cruises! As a retired teacher with 36 years behind me, I understand your need of a "last hurrah" before the start of a new school year! Bless your ♥!! 😉 Let the fun begin!!
  11. We're going on a repositioning cruise on the Pride, next April ('24) from Tampa to Baltimore. It's 14 days, with lots of island stops. I just checked to make sure, and there are rooms still available! It's listed as a Journeys cruise, but the beginning and ending ports are different.
  12. We brought on a 12 pack of pop from one of our ports on a cruise to Hawaii. No one said anything.
  13. Zumba, please!!!! I've experienced this only one day on a Jouneys cruise. It was well-attended and so much fun!
  14. Interesting...I guess the Diamond event must depend on the number of Diamond guests onboard. We were on the Horizon June 10-18, and just had small bites and drinks, instead of the meal (which we had on the Miracle in January). I thought perhaps it varied by ships, but your Horizon luncheon disproves that theory! Oh well, we enjoyed it, nonetheless. ☺️ Fantastic review, as always!
  15. Hot water is available all day on the Lido deck. It can be used with powdered formula you bring. If, instead, you bring liquid formula, the hot water can be used in a large cup or vessel to warm the cold formula. You supply your own pureed baby food, if you choose to bring it.
  16. Your best bet is to contact a PVP from Carnival. It certainly can be done. We did it one year when my son realized (last minute) that he was free to cruise with us. As you said, you may need to move to a room that can accommodate 3, is you aren't already in one.
  17. As an addition: We've used them directly from the airport, in years past. We used to feel confident flying in the day of the cruise, but with flights like they are now, we don't take the chance. I hope this helps in your planning!
  18. Yes, it was. We flew in the night before and stayed at a hotel. Their website has a list of Ft. L hotels from which they will pick you up. (It's a ton of choices! We stayed at Tru, by Hilton, near the airport.) We had absolutely no problem with them. We've used them in the past, and we've always been pleased with their service and cleanliness of the vehicles!
  19. We always use them for transportation! We used them most recently for our cruise on the Horizon, June 10-18. Stellar service and great communication prior to pickup.
  20. Yay!! I'm on the edge of my seat, anticipating one of your awesome, entertaining reviews!
  21. Just get a taxi to The Boatyard! It's one of our favorite things to do in Barbados. Beach, food, and drinks...
  22. Epic review! Love your humor and comprehensive coverage of the ports! I've been on the Pride several times (love Spirit class❤️). You and B did her justice! The food and drink pics were great. Thanks a million! Now I can fly out tomorrow for my Horizon cruise...
  23. I'm thoroughly enjoying your review! I've been on the Horizon once, January 2022, and will be on her again in a week and a half (EEK!), with my adult kids, their spouses, my husband, and all 4 of our grandchildren (ages 7, 6, and two 2's!). We, too, are from rural Virginia (the Shenandoah Valley, to be exact). Your trip report is getting me pumped!
