****CARNIVAL COVID TESTING THREAD #3 -‐- JULY 21, 2022***
Joe817 replied to Host Carolyn's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Their cruise contract is governed by the policies and procedures of Carnival Cruise Line. NOT the CDC. If any customer of CCL is going to read into something the CDC said and act upon that statement, and NOT confirming with CCL as an absolute fact, then it is on the customer, no one else. This is where "caveat emptor" comes into play. ie: it's the customers responsibility to find out the exact procedures from the cruise line. -

I don't think that is a true statement. Nowhere can I find in the article that states that Carnival Cruise Line is dropping the coivid testing requirements. As much as all of us would like that to be true, I don't see that it is. -
Yes. Vastly different. Cooked to perfection, and very tender. I had the small filet. And for 9 oz. it was huge! i had it with the sautéed mushrooms. A perfect pairing. You absolutely cannot go wrong to treat yourself to the Steakhouse!

AFAIK, that policy has been effect since Jan.1 of this year, and perhaps before that.

Megan, I was going to comment that you have the market cornered on that, but I refrained.

Carnival Vista July 23rd 2022, from a Carnival Newbie!
Joe817 replied to AJSkarbo's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Wow! What a great start! I love it! I hope you enjoy the Vista as much as we did. We cruised on her on a 7 day back last Aug.-Sept. What ports did you stop at? We stopped at Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Belize City and Cozumel. We had a great time. Hope you all did too! Your pics look great! Thanks for sharing! 👍Can't wait to hear more about your trip. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to answer them if I can. -
We had Kendall on our Vista cruise last August. She's witty, entertaining, engaging, and allll over the place. And never over did it on the PA announcements. 👍

Will Carnival Follow Princess Easing Vaccine Restrictions
Joe817 replied to sunonfire's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
That's just a month and a week away. I wouldn't count on the testing requirements to be gone before then....but you never know. I'm not a gambling, and I sure wouldn't want to take a chance like that. YMMV. -
Ship time changing during cruise
Joe817 replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Where does it say that? Source please. -

You are correct. That information is NOT on their website, because as of now, you STILL ARE REQUIRED to be tested before you board. -
Thanks! 👍

Ship time changing during cruise
Joe817 replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Don't led into a false sense of security on your phone clock. It automatically adjusts to local time....which is more times than not, SHIPS time. I'd hate for people to miss the ship because of the phone time. Just my opinion. -
Do it! With offers like those, why would you hesitate?

Applying e-gift cards to room before you leave?
Joe817 replied to gazingm42's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Why do all of that at all? Why not just buy the e-gift card before your cruise, save it, and when you board, go to Guest Services, and apply that e-gift card to your S&S account? That way, if you don't spend it all, Carnival will send you a hard plastic gift card, for what you didn't spend. You don't lose any money that way. -

Hanging in there, my friend! Thanks for checking in! Trying to battle this gawdawful Texas summer heat(106 today, and continuing that way for the rest of the week), & keeping the lawn watered. It's a never ending battle. And I'm trying(with the wife's encouragement, if you know what I mean), to get in shape by going to our neighborhood YMCA. It's about to kill me! LOL. Trying to get in shape for our upcoming 8 day cruise on the Dream beginning Sept. 24. Other than that, just staying under the A/C. How about you? What's going on at your end?

The Hub app's only purpose before getting on the ship is a countdown timer. I has no other functions.
