  1. Agree we feel the same way. Time will tell.
  2. Sounds liked us...can't wait to see what info you get!
  3. I was talking to my TA today and he said cruises are sailing full. He said deals are rare. People are booking a year or more out and ships are filling fast.
  4. The older I get the more irritated I get with people in general. Lol
  5. We have cruised for years on Royal and loved it. As we aged we found we no longer liked the craziness of it all. We switched to Celebrity and love it. To us it is a more relaxed atmosphere. We usually cruise when kids are in school to eliminate that aspect (we raised 4). So I think many of us just don't want Celebrity to change that aspect of their cruises. We love Celebrity and at this time don't want to change cruiselines. So hopefully the new advertising that seems to be geared toward other age groups doesn't drastically make a difference in our cruises.
  6. They place you, however you maybe able to change it once you find out where they seat you.
  7. We have done MC suites a few times and loved it.
  8. We try not to cruise when kids are out of school. We love Celebrity and earlier this year did Wonder of Seas and said never again. We like April/early May or October/November.

  10. It seems she is a bean counter and only wants to make the company more profitable. In doing so us "Older and Loyal" customers will possibly stop cruising on Celebrity. She is looking to the next, younger generation to fill the cabins. Unfortunately things don't always stay the same in life. We sail on Beyond again in November and if we dislike all the changes we may cancel our 2024 cruises with them. Sad....
  11. Yes, we have sailed her, going again in November.
  12. I so agree with you. I think she knew what was coming and in no way wanted to be a part of it.
  13. Well if it's true I am not surprised. While we loved our butlers in sky suites sometimes we really didn't need him/her for much. However it certainly was nice to utilize them when we did.
  14. We have done many cruises on both. We now prefer Celebrity. The entertainment on Royal is a bit better, however we feel the food on Celebrity is better. Celebrity has a quieter vibe. We are never board on sea days or evenings. We prefer Celebrity in our old age...67 & 73. We made the mistake of doing Royal recently and said never again. However that's just because we don't care for the large ships, crowds, etc.
  15. We had this happen in Boston when hurricane Sandy hit. Be prepared for rough seas once you do sail.
  16. We usually sail Celebrity decided to do Wonder of the Seas recently. Even with the cutback on Celebrity we think the food is much better. Won't be going back on Royal, just wasn't worth it.
  17. Have sailed Edge, Apex and Beyond and liked them all. You can't go wrong with any of them, for us we like new ships. So we always pick the newer version.
  18. It isn't always available so if you want to eat in a specialty restaurant I advise to just book it before getting on board.
  19. Don't count on it. Like others have said depends on what is available. On some cruises there was no 1st night discount.
  20. We loved Luminae on Apex and Beyond. Once when sailing with friends who were in a non suite room we took them there for dinner and loved it. They then booked a cruise with a suite!
