  1. Seagrams is made with quinine. Not artificial flavoring
  2. That's about 4000 pass between 15:00 and16:00. And 2200 pass between 16;00 and 17;00 I am interested in both time slots. Thank you
  3. I can help For a week day, between 15:00 and 16:00 there are 13 intl arrivals (10 787, 3 777) and between 16:00 and 17:00 there are 10 intl arrivals (3 787, 5 777,1 350, 1 767) - all T3 at Haneda.
  4. Did you apply for the under the Yakkan Shoumei under the gBizID system?
  5. I'm getting an eSim for Japan calls and using the Verizon Wifi calling on the ship and hotels, and any trusted wifi sites. On past cruises, the Verizon wifi calling worked great on board with texts, calls and video calls. I went back and forth on a pocket wifi, but I decided I will be carrying enough devices, I don't need another chargeable device to lug around. .Just be aware, you have to carefully manage your cell service and roaming settings
  6. For a tourist, what denominations of Japanese Currency are the best to have in you pocket. Paper? Coins? We will be using Taxis, buying Street Food, Admission Tickets, We plan to have Suica Cards. I assume 10K notes and 5 yen coins are not used much. I plan to buy currency from my Regional Bank in the States
  7. Expect less attention in the upper suites since the staff will be focused on the VIP's
  8. I tip when I feel they performed a service worth something tome. I feel exactly opposite when the menu shows up shows up on a credit card reader/screen at a retail establishment.
  9. We did that on the Oceania Marina and had a great time. Some of the channels out through the reefs are really tight, even with the 600 pax ships.
  10. Just to close the book on this topic, the Wall Street Journal has an article in today's edition that describes cruise industry problems. One was this topic. An example of losses incurred by a canceled passenger, $6000 lost in airfare. At least corporate has been embarrassed in the business arena and maybe more. Touche!
  11. To protect ourselves from a Covid surprise, my strategy is to fly to Tokyo from LAX, arriving the night before Embarkation. We can do the Covid Test in LAX before we commit to the flight and comply with the 72 hour rule. We are flying the day before from MCO to LAX, so we can do a self check Covid test before we start the trip. Thus we are forgoing a less costly one stop flight
  12. There are many misguided people who get their jolly's from stunts like this. During my 40 year stint in the Corporate world, whenever an executive goes from running an organization with thousands of people to a new job that involves outside PR, there is a reason.
  13. If you check Neal, the OP of the Cruisehive post, they joined CC last Thursday. Clearly a suspect post meant to spread disinformation. I'd ignore it
  14. LLP got out before the $%^& hit the fan. Now I wonder was her "promotion" real or a step aside? It's an awful situation. Celebrity should step up and reimburse those who suffered losses. This was no force majeure. Just plain incompetence.
  15. Accidental overbooking? Sounds like another IT Dept Glitch By the way how can one have a fully paid cruise fare?
  16. To those have been cancelled, can you please give your Cabin Category and when you booked the cruise?
  17. Hank yesterday your time, Thursday 8 AM was there any notice of a North Korean missle launch? Apparently Hokaido had miilions receive a J alert. Just curious about the locals reactions.
  18. Your comment on sinus remedies concerns me. May I be bold to ask what meds were banned. Considering the Cherry Blossoms are a nightmare for allergy sufferers, this is an issue. When we were in Reykjavík, last year, I tried to buy pseudonephrine from behind the counter, as I do regularly from Walgreens. No luck, its banned in Iceland Search Results
  19. How about Haneda? to Yokahama? from Yokahama to Roppongi area in Tokyo
  20. Hank please keep at it. The more detail the better. We are cruising Japan in October and you are our forward point man. A couple questions: What time did you arrive at Haneda? Was customs crowded? What cell phone option did you choose for Japan? Are you ?using or planning to use mobile based apps such as Google maps. Are most citizens on the street waring masks? Thanks in advance
  21. fI the both flights are on the same carrier and the flights are mid week, maybe. With the way things are here in the States I would keep the stopover time with a buffer of over 2.5 hours
  22. Maybe the couple could not get insurance because the GF is over 80 with medical issues.
  23. It depends if the ship berths at Daikoku pier or Osanbashi piers. Right now we we are booked at the new Westin Hotel near Osanbashi. I used points. We arrive by Celebrity Flight the night before embarkation. If the berth changes we may adjust.
  24. We elected to book Celebrity Flights arriving the day before embarkation and stay a few days after embarkation. Our thinking is we can recover on the ship within two days and let Celebrity pamper us for a while. Traveling west is easier on the brain. After debarkation we can tackle Tokyo
