  1. According to the article, the menu has not been finalized. They are still sorting through the offerings to decide which ones they want to include on the new menus. Things could, and probably will, change between what is offered now and what will be offered after the first of the year.
  2. I tried the link earlier and it would not work. Someone suggested it might be too early for my sailing which is why I asked. I will not get the email because I have opted out of their promotional emails, I was getting waaay too many.
  3. We have a cruise booked for Feb. 26th. I am considering bidding for an upgraded cabin. How soon does the bid process open before the cruise departs?
  4. This was my first thought also. Do you and your husband have different statuses?
  5. I have never done it but I have heard that the service is available.
  6. Then why not make the smoking section on deck 14 the starboard side also? To me it just makes sense, and helps avoid confusion, if the smoking section is on the same side on all decks that allow smoking.
  7. I think this is for bookings made after final payment date.
  8. Is Anthem different than other RCI ships? I'm fairly certain that on all of the ships I have been on recently, smoking was on the port side, regardless of which deck.
  9. I don't think it matters whose name gets changed. As long as one of the original named guests stays on the reservation, the other name can be changed.
  10. It can't be done on line or in the app any longer. You have to call C&A to make your choice.
  11. I'm another getting just the spinner. My cruise isn't until Feb. 26th. Too early?
  12. I prefer Freedom. She has Playmakers & El Loco Fresh, two venues that Liberty doesn't have. The new pool deck is also much nicer on Freedom.
  13. The vendor doing the shore excursion will know the ship's schedule and will make sure you are back in time. They've done this many times and their reputation depends on it.
  14. We love Adventure. We sailed on her many times when she cruised the southern Caribbean out of San Juan. The Royal Promenade is a great place to hang out and people watch, I imagine you'll be able to do that from your stateroom if you choose. Be sure to catch the ice show, it's one of our favorite activities on the ship.
  15. We've been on Explorer and Adventure multiple times. Now that you say that, I think The Tavern is in the location where the Champagne Bar was on those two ships.
  16. Are you thinking of the pub? The floor plans for Voyager show The Tavern on deck 4. The promenade is deck 5.
  17. Nice! It'll give us another option to sit and relax with a cocktail. This will be our first time on Voyager. As I said, I've never heard of this bar on an RCI ship. Does anyone know if The Tavern is on other RCI ships.
  18. I'll be cruising on Voyager in February. I'm looking at deck plans and I see "The Tavern" on deck 4. It appears to be a bar/lounge. I have never heard of it before and have never seen it on an RCI ship. Can someone enlighten me as to what The Tavern is?
  19. Go to the Guest Services desk once you get on board. Don't wait until day 2. Tell them who will be staying in which cabin. They will re-issue the appropriate cards to each of you.
  20. My Visa OBC always shows up in my cruise planner a couple days after I apply for it.
  21. If you carry your bags off the ship, it shouldn't be a problem. We had a 9:30 flight a couple years ago. We carried our bags off the ship and were at the airport at 7:30.
  22. Our very first cruise was just my wife and I on Enchantment. We had an ocean view cabin that was 150 s.f. The room was much bigger than what we had expected after hearing all the stories of how small cruise ship cabins are. We thought that us and our two children would be able to do okay in one room so we booked another cruise to take the kids on. We booked an ocean view on Sovereign. Once on the ship we realized that all ocean view cabins are not the same. Our room on Sovereign was only 122 s.f! Was it tight? Yes. Did we survive? Absolutely! We were on a cruise as a family! We used the room to change our clothes and to sleep. Changing clothes was tight with 4 people but we made it work. The cruise will be great if that's what your family wants it to be.
  23. I can't say with certainty pertaining to your situation but, from my experience, all of the buses for excursions leave from the parking lot just outside of the terminal. There is a shopping area (of course) just after getting off the ship. If the vendors are open, you'll have plenty of time to shop before getting on your bus.
  24. If you don't need to both be on at the same time, you can buy a one device package and share it.
