The charge is $7.95 per order plus 18% gratuity. -
Terrible POS system
cruiseguy1016 replied to leisuretraveler223's topic in Royal Caribbean International
It's just another sign of how inept RCI's Information Technology department is. I am dumbfounded how a company this large can be so far behind everyone else. -
The early time is 5:30, the late time is 8:00.

How do you know what time these people plan on boarding? I would bet the majority of passengers board after the hallways to the staterooms have been opened.

On our last 3 or 4 cruises, the reserved seating has been almost empty. We like the location of the seats. We don't book suites, we don't purchase the key and we are "only" Diamond so we don't have access to the reserved seats. We wait until 5 minutes before showtime when they open those seats up to "regular" people.

Crown and anchor point accrual by spouse
cruiseguy1016 replied to Aaron3's topic in Royal Caribbean International
No, points cannot be added to another person's account. C&A status can be shared but points cannot. -
There will be 4 drink vouchers loaded onto your Seapass daily at 5am and those are valid until 5am the following day. They are use them or lose them vouchers, they do not carry over if you don't use them. Those vouchers can be used at any bar, any time during the day for a free drink valued at up to $14. Be aware that when you order a drink, any dink, it will be deducted from your total. If you don't want the drink (water or soda for instance) to go against your total, tell the bartender not to use a voucher for that drink.

All you need to do is go to the Windjammer, grab one and bring it back to your room. -
Cruising without Passport
cruiseguy1016 replied to schultz572's topic in Royal Caribbean International
A travel agent does not need to be local to you. The one I am currently using does not even live in the same country as me (hint, hint). We aren't allowed to recommend travel agents on this site. There are several travel agents that post often on these boards. If you spend enough time reading here, you'll be able to figure out who they are. -
A rare sighting on Royal Caribbean website...
cruiseguy1016 replied to footzz's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This is what I had yesterday. This is what I have today. The cruise I have booked is $0.14 cheaper today than it was yesterday. -
No shows in my app planner yet?
cruiseguy1016 replied to ballarinamom's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Advance reservations are not required for shows on Explorer so it's unlikely you'll seem in the app. If you go into the app you can look at the current sailing to see what shows are being offered. That will be a good indication of what will be offered on your cruise in 2 weeks. -
It's not even a contest. The ABCs are some of the prettiest islands in the Caribbean. Bonaire is one of the most popular dive/snorkel locations in the world. All of the diving/snorkeling is accessible from shore. Aruba has gorgeous beaches and decent diving. I have never dived or snorkeled in Curacao so I can't speak for there. Diving in St. Croix and Tortola are okay but not nearly as good as in Bonaire. Coco Cay offers snorkeling but it's terrible. Even if you didn't want to snorkel, I would still choose the ABCs. They're just a better place to visit IMHO.

Liberty of the Seas - Super Bowl 2023?
cruiseguy1016 replied to daninwi's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Not trying to argue but are you sure? Maybe the TVs weren't turned on when you in the venues? We were on Liberty in March and there were multiple TVs in the Hoof and Claw. We watched basketball (and maybe hockey) in there on more than one occasion. They were also in the Cafe Promenade and the Schooner Bar. -
This is one of the biggest advantages of those cabins IMHO.

Liberty of the Seas - Super Bowl 2023?
cruiseguy1016 replied to daninwi's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Most venues on the ship will be showing it. The Hoof & Claw, Cafe Promenade and Schooner Bar come to mind but none of those are very big so seats will be limited. On some ships it is shown in the Theater. Some ships show it on the Big Screen on the pool deck but Liberty's has been out of order and I think it still is. I don't know if it will be fixed before your cruise. -
First time cruise random questions
cruiseguy1016 replied to StickyWombat's topic in Royal Caribbean International
This is a GREAT piece of advice. Make sure they go on the FIRST night, that's when everyone meets and gets a chance to get to know each other. A lot of the week's activities will be discussed that night so they will know what to expect. -

Heard rumors about drink vouchers
cruiseguy1016 replied to Ret MP's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If you drink 4 drinks a day, it doesn't matter when they become available to you. The only thing this is going to do is save RCI some money on the drinks available on the final day. Using the current schedule, your drinks reload at midnight which means you could drink your 4 from the first day before midnight and then 4 more after midnight from the following day's allotment. Now those people won't be able to get those free drinks after midnight. As usual, RCI is putting a twist on it to make it seem like it is better for us.- 204 replies

Royal's policy on lower rates?
cruiseguy1016 replied to 4774Papa's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You asked about a refund within 48 hours and you were told that the 48 hour rule applied to cruises booked after the final payment date. I'm confused as to what you don't understand.
