We got off the Mardi Gras this morning. It was the slowest, most painful debarkation of my 36 Carnival cruises. Make sure you try the bolt. It is awesome. So is the ropes course where you zipline over the ocean. We are 57 and 55 so old people can survive it! 😜 My cocktail recommendation is the "Lime in the Coconut" from the Fortune Teller Bar. It is like a slice of key lime pie in a glass! Our favorite bar staff were at the Pig and Anchor. It was hardly ever crowded and the staff were the best. Tell Miller, Carthy and Henry they come highly recommended! Enjoy your cruise.

I play tables. They used to give cash but the last 2 cruises I have received $25 in chips. They were both on Freedom. I don't know if it depends on the ship or not? Either way it's 25 bucks. Just go to the cage and ask for it! 😀

I guess I'm lucky. 6 post-pandemic cruises and I've gotten the e-mail every time.

As Platinum they also send you an e-mail prior to your cruise telling you how / when to claim your goodies.

Wow, that's a bummer. We'll be on Mardi Gras next week. Just sailed Freedom a few months ago and they had a great Platinum / Diamond party. Beer, wine, cocktails and anything you wanted to order from the bar for an hour! It was like the old days without the finger foods.

I've gotten Bushwacked in St. Thomas on more than 1 occasion! 🤣

Totally agree. I've used the same PVP for 19 years. He always handles this type of thing very quickly. Even if we are not eligible " by the letter of the law", he usually talks to a supervisor and gets us the lower price.

Braised short ribs is one of my must have meals in the MDR. As others have mentioned, the escargot is good on CCL.

We've sailed Freedom twice in the past year and enjoyed most of our meals. Maybe you just hit a bad week? I will admit the food on Carnival is not what it used to be, but it was still decent. I do agree with you on the Freedom's steakhouse. To say we were less than impressed would be an understatement!

Just joining you. Loved the pics of the old celebration. We had a great cruise on her out of Jacksonville back in the early 2000's!

We've sailed her twice with the messed up tail. It didn't affect our cruises one bit!😜

Used to love it but got to where I don't. Have not ordered it on the past 10 or 15 cruises.

35 Carnival cruises and I've never seen a single fight. Definitely smelled weed once in a while, but it has gotten much worse since so many states have legalized it for sure.
