  1. It was not a specific invitation. It was a folded card placed in the cabin with the times and location.
  2. Princess usually has the Hawaiian Ambassador program on the Hawaii itineraries. This includes uke lessons, hula lessons, Hawaiian entertainment as well as Hawaiian crafts(fee). Look for it. For the uke lessons arrive early on the first day offered up early as spots and ukes go fast. If you have your own uke bring it along. No musical prior musical experience required. As the Diamond Princess is new to this itinerary the ship may not have the supplies for the uke lessons. Expect non tropical days the first few days crossing and tropical once the ship crosses the Tropic of Cancer.
  3. Depends on itinerary. Are you speaking about one of the 7 day RT Seattle trips? If yes, then the two sea days. Formal nights are never on boarding day nor on the last evening. If not the voyage mentioned then what date?
  4. When you call room service there is no charge for the actual service. The menu is limited and some items, like pizza, have an extra charge. Can you order pizza at 11pm? Depends if the pizza ovens are operating at that time. You can order breakfast. Be aware that only mini suites, full suites and on Royal Class ships deluxe balcony cabins have indoor table and seating. Other cat. cabins have only one desk chair and a mini knee high table. Balconies do have two chairs and a table. Specialty coffees and other beverage items covered by your plus fare are delivered to your cabin at no extra cost. Use your Medallion app or the cabin tv to order. Full suite passengers may order any meal from the full DR menu. They are not limited to the room service menu during standard DR meal times. Full suite passengers also are eligible for the special breakfast which on most ships is served at Sabatini's. Way better than room service.
  5. Luggage that fits under the bed, 11 inches deep.
  6. Means nothing today, but who knows in the future. Best to keep the records accurate.
  7. Policy is one captain's circle credit for each leg of a voyage.* Two 7 day voyages booked a single 14 day voyage or as two separate voyages will equal the same amount of credits, 1 for each leg. If you book as a solo you should receive the 4 credits automatically. If not you will have to follow up as you are entitled to them. It always worked for us, but today Princess is broken. * double credits for solo in a cabin or in a full suite. Triple for solo in a full suite. Yes, mini bar is refilled on turnaround day.
  8. US$ for casino and onboard currency.
  9. More flexibility booking with two booking numbers. For the 10 day cruises more cabins set aside, thus more selections for each 10 day. When booking b2bs as separate cruises research carefully if you wish to stay in the same cabin to see what cabins are available for both segments. Then provide your T.A. with a list of cabins you will accept and have both bookings marked no upgrade. No matter how booked you will receive one invoice on final disembarkation day. We have sailed 2, 3 and 4 cruises as b2bs. We always have booked as separate cruises for the flexibility even if there is a small difference in the OBC.
  10. Not correct. No matter one booking number or two each 10 day voyage counts as one Captain's Circle credit.
  11. As post #2 mentions Odd numbers are starboard. Deck plans on the medallion app have additional details regarding entrances for balcony cabins. Check the app for interior cabins. Entrances might show there.
  12. Yes. Has ben $20/half day, $40/full day, $30/day if booked for all days of the voyage. In tropical cruises such as the Caribbean lounges fill quickly. Go directly to the sanctuary on boarding to book. Special fees apply for special scenic cruising days such as Panama Canal and Glacier Bay.
  13. FYI All have the same menu. DRs in the Cielo location pre-Dine My Way were used for Traditional Dining early and late seating. You would just walk in once you knew your table. With Dine My Way there are cue lines to be seated. Cielo has an almost non existent waiting area in that doubles as the elevator and staircase lobby area.
  14. Table game? Drop cash on the table to purchase chips.
  15. What destination? Are you thinking Hawaii? For Hawaii I would think the 2023/2024 winter season would be released this month or June. Many other destinations are already open for booking through late 2023 and into 2024.
  16. No exact rules. To have a reasonable game you have to have a fairly large group, maybe 10 or more teams, so that you can obtain a reasonable majority for any question. You make up the questions. Questions have to be understandable so those playing have a reasonable knowledge of the subject. Example a reasonable question might be Who was the greatest singer of the 1950s and 60s. Answers may range from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis, Diana Ross. You then collect the answer sheets. Which ever answer is shown the most times becomes the correct response and gets the point. There are no correct or incorrect answers. Players have to guess which response will be the most popular with the players. Make up between 10 and 20 questions per quiz game. If you repeat the same questions you will wind up with everyone providing the same response. You have to have different questions each time you play. Here are some samples. There are no correct answers Write down what you believe to be the most popular answer Teams with the answer that matches the majority receive a point Example: Who is the greatest baseball player of all time? 1. Which of NYC’s 5 boroughs is best? 2. Where is the most popular location for a one week luxury vacation? 3. Who is the most attractive living female celebrity 50 years or older? 4. Where is the best beach in the U.S.? 5. What is the best tasting alcoholic drink? 6. Who would you consider the best Rock & Roll group from the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s era? 7. Who is the most attractive living male celebrity 50 years or older? 8. Name New Jersey’s most famous performing artist? 9. What is the best National Park or Monument to visit in the United States? 10. What is the most popular casino game? 11. Which U.S. State has the best climate? 12. Which car says “Look at me, I have lots and lots of disposable money”?
  17. I'm thinking that an excursion would be offered to Bora Bora. But it's far. Would have to fly. Would be expensive.
  18. Wedding Cake for decks 9, 10, 11. Decks 11 to 14 straight up. Port and Starboard Balconies Deck 8, 16 mini suites with 9ftx6ft covered. two with extended balconies E728/31 Deck 9, 9ft x 6ft uncovered with two aft ones extended Deck 10, Balcony cat cabins 9ft x 9ft with 5ft of cover and 4ft uncovered, Suite cabins have wider balconies Decks 11, 12, 14, 9ftx5ft covered. See deck plans https://www.princess.com/deckPlans.do?shipCode=DI Stern cabins have different sizes and cover.
  19. Believe you can bring fresh fruit on board. Don't know if the crew can accept it as a gift, see post #15. You can not bring fresh fruit off the ship.
  20. If you want to spend the additional funds go for the Vista Suite (full suite). You can find full suite benefits at the site below. If you book a full suite you will have a free specialty dining evening meal on boarding day at the restaurant of your choice. Call the dining line once on board. On other evenings you are entitled to Club Class Dining. Club Class is a special section of the Capri DR where you can walk in anytime it is open. Seating is prompt. Menu is the same as the regular MDR with one additional item in the evening. Service is much improved. For breakfast full suite passengers are entitled to Breakfast at Sabatini''s. It's upscale basically order what you want. Highly recommend Breakfast at Sabatini's rather than room service. If they have the ingredients it will be prepared for you. You probably do not require additional specialty dining meals. Believe you will be satisfied with the Club Class Dining. https://www.princess.com/learn/ships/staterooms/suites/ Mini suites do not have very many benefits except the size of the cabin. If you book a Club Class mini then that comes with Club Class Dining and a few other minor benefits.
  21. Free irons with spray bottles in laundry rooms. almost all passenger decks have a laundry room.
  22. 2 passengers in queen bed which can be separated into two single beds if desired. 3rd passenger on the sofa bed. 4th passenger on a bed that pulls out of the ceiling parallel to the wall over the sofa bed. 3rd and 4th berths are stored during daytime hours. Access to the balcony is limited when the 3rd and 4th berths are in use.
  23. Begins June 25th. Believe, no actual proof, in the longer term prices will edge up and erode the current selections at the $12 level. In the nearer term don't think that will happen. Remember that the Plus fare cost will increase from $40 to $50 starting with bookings May 25.
  24. If I skip this service on my cruise what will I be missing out on? The level of service is one of the things that attracts people to cruise lines. clean bathroom, fill shower soap, new bars of hand soap, replace toilet paper rolls, clean sheets, make the bed, take out the trash (there is no place to dump trash yourself and it is separated by the cabin steward), new clean towels, vacuum, dust, outside cabin clean the glass, any notices or paperwork will be kind of attached to your door if not placed in your cabin. Better to have this done each day. If you call the steward's number you may get a delivery when you are in your cabin or maybe when you are away from the cabin. How are you going to do all this yourself without calling the cabin steward? Cabin stewards are tested frequently. I would not worry about them entering your cabin.
