  1. Also on the old design you have a really nice above the bed storage cabinet- as long as you or you partner can reach it excellent storage.
  2. Twin ships. I would book the itinerary I prefer and the price.
  3. Two attached cabins best. You get two bathrooms and privacy. Lots of storage for each. Buy the refreshment package for her. Surely you don't want to carry water on your vacation. Plenty of activities going on the ship all year round including holiday periods. I would uber to the port. We fly in the day before and book a chain hotel. All ok. We send out wash on a 7 night cruise. Get internet packages for whoever uses it the most- you can share.
  4. Never deck 14. Under public areas. We enjoy central park deck 10 even love deck nine cabins. No balcony on deck nine, but a beautiful window seat. It is a very peaceful quite spot. Unlike the Boardwalk, you will not be bothered by any real noise. I would go crazy hearing all the noise, especially the merry go round and bell from the rock climbing wall all day. Central Park is A good option if you are on a budget.
  5. Reflection is one of our favorite ships. We love the Lawn club grill and enjoy renting a cabana, especially if we are at a port not interested in. They really give you the royal treatment. Bring you a lunch for a limited menu. Includes a cheese platter and fruit platter when you want- a bottle of bubbly and water. If you have a drink package, all alcohol ordered is included, if not you pay per drink. A relaxing day. We typically sail in a suite and enjoy the Retreat lounge aka michael's club.
  6. After a long day- I like the idea of having dinner served to me. I find if I eat at the buffet- I will overeat- who needs the extra calories. Try not to eat lunch at the buffet if other options available. Picked over food, especially if you come late.
  7. Worth it to upgrade for more options with drinks, especially if you like martini's and premium alcohol.
  8. Big difference from a suite to AQ. The AQ staterooms are infinite balcony cabins and small. IMO Blu on Edge class ships in the middle of a hallway not private and very noisy- M and S class much better location and cabin. Thermal suite can be purchased for a day or two.
  9. We were just on the Apex last week and the menu seemed the same. Didn't notice any changes.
  10. Be careful when selecting a TA Agree that the TA should offer you some perks- yes they work, but most do make a significant commission- especially on high end suites. If not onboard credit, dinners for two a specialty restaurant. I do all of the work and resent that a TA I used recently didn't even give us a free dinner- We booked a b/2/b suite. Will either find a good TA or book direct.
  11. The edge class ships have blu in a hallway- and curtain separates it from the hallway on one side- was very noisy. Try for close to the window side for quieter seating.
  12. Celebrity has nice venues for listening to live music around the ship.
  13. Didn’t use internet on the balcony. But we had starlink, which was supposed to be better service. Occasionally problems on board, but overall internet good
  14. PS I used the hair salon once and a gentleman did a horrible job. Cancelled other appointments.
  15. Dinner three times in two weeks. The second week we purchased the 7 night dinner package. The first week, new years week, only limited special packages were offered.
  16. Caroline, another lady forgot her name and a tall young gentleman. Of course threw away all of my daily planner and information. The manager I have seen on other ships
  17. My DH and I did our first b/2/b cruise on the celebrity Apex. Overall a wonderful cruise. Boarding was a breeze as we were ushered into the suite boarding lounge- so fast and efficient. They servered snacks and beverages also. We were escorted onto the boarding area within minutes. The ship is just beautiful. Relatively new and immaculate. We proceeded to our home- a sky suite for our stay. The room was clean- but I detected a weird mild smell. Our luggage wasn't delivered, but we unpacked our carry-on and put our valuables in the safe. The room is bright with a wonderful bathroom. It had a tub/shower combo and double farmhouse type sink. The toilet is enclosed giving privacy and allowing for two people to use the bathroom at the same time. Storage in the bathroom was fine. The suite had one large closet and storage shelves and drawers- of course IMO would have liked more. Two little night stands next to each bed- best to go on youtube to tour the suite. Liked the fact that we had a true balcony, albeit it small. We meet our butler Alfred who was very accommodating- Celebritiy now has tea time every afternoon in the suite lounge. We used to have the butler come to our stateroom daily around 4 with snacks and beverages. No longer. However room service is complimentary. The bed was comfortable. TV didn't offer much . Our suite was near the foward elevators- loved the location. Great access to Retreat deck and lounge and restaurant. I prefer the S class lounge set up. More intimate and comfortable. The retreat sun deck offers little shade- It has a small pool and hot tub. In addition you can get a limited lunch daily on the deck. It has a really good bar. All of the staff was wonderful on the retreat deck. We enjoyed all of the speciality restaurants- Eden is wonderful. So improved from our early Edge sailing. Also loved the rooftop grill. However it should be better protected from the elements as on the reflection and silhouette- The steak house was also very good- we do no eat sushi- so didn't go to that restaurant. We did enjoy Petite Chef- worth a visit- food and show good. Some of the entertainment was excellent- 3 Divias were terrific. The main show IMO was a stinker- silly. Heard the adult comedians were very good. And another singer was also very good. Enjoyed the lounge music and Martini bar- Missed the ice top however like on the older ships. Shopping limited- a few designer stores- high pressure in the new Effy jewelry store- not many sundries available- We don't purchase alcohol, but I did buy some makeup. Port ok= we missed Labadee on both cruises- too bad we enjoy the day- The ship arrived in Puerto Rico a 4PM Waste- too late to start going off the ship. Other ports ok- however we did have to take tenders on a few. Disembarkation was also a breeze- however the ft lauderdale airport is too small a crowded. Overall a great back to back experience. We will sail again on this ship in the spring for one week.
  18. You get internet, butler access to luminae and retreat lounge. Also priority embark and disembarking. Any other suite priority
  19. We booked the icon for feb 2024. We are seniors but want to sail whenwe are both well and can enjoy
  20. Only negative imo was thebathroom. Perfect for a person in a wheelchair but the shower makes the whole floor wet and the sink is very low to accommodate a wheelchair.
  21. Happens with plastic flip flops also! Best to wear closed slippers and sandals with straps
  22. I miss the cabinet over the bed as on the S class ships. That was a great addition of storage space. Glad you had fun.
  23. Since we will be sailing on the 30th, glad to hear it has been installed. Hope it works well! Sorry you missed it.
