  1. Yes. However one of my neighbors who is 40 something died. He didn't have any immunization. We have had immunization including boosters. So with proper precautions I feel relatively safe. My DH had mild covid a few months ago. I didn't catch it.
  2. I am interested as a person who will be cruising in less then two weeks to determine if perhaps the ship has covid- and or flu going around. I will wear a mask in elevators and busy areas of the ship. Snarky remarks aren't appreciated.
  3. Just saw a person being removed by stretcher to an ambulance from what appears to be an NCL ship docked in Bermuda this morning. Any idea why?
  4. Bring your immunization card. While not necessary to board, might be required at different stops- best to bring.
  5. Depends what is above and below the staterooms. Some on 11 were very noisy. Make sure you check the below deck.
  6. We really loved luggage valet. It is so disappointing that it hasn't returned. Hope it does.
  7. Book the sky suite next to the penthouse- not sure if 6145 and 6146 They have a huge bathroom and a separate shower. IMO best sky suites on the ship!! Haven't been on it since the ships renovation- so hopefully they weren't changed.
  8. Never have a problem. We checked the ships photo kiosks daily to be sure all of our pictures were loaded. If one was missing, we immediately asked the agent to add it. We also took pictures at each port and when boarding. On ships that use hard copies of the photos, we looked for the photos and the clerk at the photo gallery created an envelope full of the pictures we took during the cruise. The on line instructions and link came about 3 days after we arrived home . Also, not only are pictures included of all in your stateroom, but if you have family and or friends sailing, and you or your cabin/suite mates are in the picture, they are also included in your package. Never had a problem. Keep calling.
  9. Some people wear masks at night to block out the morning sun. If you have a larger cabin, you can enjoy it when you are awake.
  10. I would suggest that you consider a few dinners in the Specialty restaurants. You will be glad you did!
  11. My parents had a "florida" room in their condo in Florida- like the IV area.
  12. I will stick to Celebrity and Royal-
  13. And the bathroom tub on S class sky and Celebrity suite very high- dangerous for some.
  14. Have previously sailed on princess. We had a hard time finding seating at the adult pool. IMO poorly designed. Had to pay for seating in the sanctuary. However, haven't been on any new princess ships and hopefully they have improved.
  15. Really dislike the infinite balconies. The captain can control opening and closing the window. As previously stated, if one person goes on the "balcony" the ac in the cabin shuts off. Poor design. It is a windowed cabin with a window that sometimes opens. Too expensive. Also, the cabin seemed narrow. If you want a balcony, an aft stateroom or a cove balcony on the front side of the ship, much better IMO
  16. Having had both, If your budget allows, the Royal suite is great! Bedroom much more comfortable for storage and walking around. The extra half bath is great. We didn't use the whirlpool on the deck more then once, but it was available. The extra perks wonderful. Do what you can afford.
  17. Take a private tour. We are "young" seniors but like to go on our own tours. Cannot stand waiting on line for late people. Feel like I am in elementary school. Rather pay more and do on our own or with a very small group.
  18. Never had a sun problem. So much better in a balcony cabin or suite. The extra room is wonderful. Never had an issue with sun getting into our cabin/suite. I wouldn't recommend an aft cabin as perhaps the sun might peak in. But the eye mask is a excellent suggestion. I would find it weird not having any exterior view.
  19. I understand we cannot give referrals on CC, but where would I find a list of TA's? Are benefits they offer on the list?
  20. Counting the days to our apex New Years eve b/2/b Apex cruises! Thanks for sharing.
  21. No covid testing required now. Bring your immunization card. We are going on the Apex in two weeks and I will bring masks to wear at certain areas on the ship, but now not required. The questioner is simple basic questions about how you are feeling etc. Some ports have different rules.
  22. If weather not great, does the water come up to the window? Not sure if I could deal with that.
  23. Absolutely no comparison. With SS, first you get a much larger room. AQ is a balcony stateroom. The SS offers you dining at luminae, which IMO so much better then AQ, we were never impressed with Blu food and close seating. The suite lounge or retreat a wonderful spot on the ship to hang out. You also get butler service. IMO we didn't appreciated the spa freebee's with AQ. In fact used for an hour one sea day- think you can purchase if you like. If you want a Balcony cabin, dine evenings in speciality restaurants with the savings and you will have better food and service.
