  1. Yes- check in. If you get a move up, the cabin/suite will change. If you move up to a suite, when onboard or as soon as you are notified of the change, you can cancel things that you paid additional for such as beverage packages, wiifi that will now be included. Good luck.
  2. The advantage of booking on line is that you get the time and date you want. If you aren’t booking a package of three or more dinners which you pick on board. You can use your on board credit to book on line if shipboard credit. If you use credit and change your mind it is easily refunded .
  3. Go for deck 12 aft. A much nicer experience then a port hole veranda with balcony which is toward the front of the ship or infinite veranda on deck six. Who needs to look at lifeboats. they also can rattle if the sea is rough making lots of noise.
  4. We once booked a guarantee and got a handicapped suite- while perfect for those who need a rollin shower and other special features, really wasn't comfortable for us. I would suggest that if you can afford to pay the extra $200- pick your own cabin-
  5. We really enjoyed Luminae on our recent Apex cruise. Service great- however we sailed for two weeks and found the menu, while tasty boring. We dined in the following specialty restaurants and enjoyed them. Eden, the show isn't visible while dining, but worth seeing, after dinner. It gets very crowded. Not sure about the times of the show. The food in Eden was very good. Also dined at the rooftop grill loved it, but if the weather isn't great can be windy. The steak house was also very good. We like Le Petite chef- a nice experience. We do not eat sushi and didn't dine in that restaurant. I would definately suggest that you have a few dinners in the specialty restaurants. Enjoy your cruise! The retreat is a wonderful experience. Will be on her again in March.
  6. Actually we have accessed the link 60 days before in some cases. So it varies
  7. It's a crap shoot. You probably will get an S3 on the apex. If a great deal and you don't mind the magic carpet rails great. If an unpopular time of the year you might be lucky and get an s1 or s2. Enjoy the suite perks. So good.
  8. I would buy something at the jewelry store- nice jewelry- surely you will find something! Enjoy.
  9. usually first sea day, and typically last sea day. If however the last sea day is the day before the end of the cruise, will be the day before. Enjoy your cruise. Dine at the lawn club grill one night- it is excellent.
  10. I would do Murano first night! Have lunch in luminae. Enjoy the celebrations.
  11. Do not recall. But I think the continental lounge breakfast is 7-7:30 The restaurant luminae, opens at 8:00 typically. Since we never went to the lounge late at night, not sure when they closed. But of course free room service for suite guests 24/7,
  12. We enjoy most meals at Luminae. But mix it up with specialty restaurants. On the S or M class ships. Restaurant seating vs a crowded dining hall, and excellent service. Found AQ restaurant Blu much too crowded and the cabins are balcony cabins with some IMO useless frills. The size of the suite, even entry level is so much larger. The retreat lounge/michaels club is also wonderful. You also get other perks. If you can afford it- try it- The experience on the Edge class ships is of course fabulous.
  13. Off the apex in January- we dined in specialty restaurants for many dinners as we were on the ship for two weeks- the suite Lounge is wonderful- they offer a variety of snacks during the day and the bar is excellent- they will bring you drinks. You can also go upstairs at the retreat sun deck and they also have a wonderful bar and service for light lunch and drinks. Will be on the ship again in March!
  14. Good luck with a carry on bag for one week.
  15. actually never had an issue with luggage valet regarding checking luggage. The time on my return flight home when booked was 1:15 PM, slowly crept up over the months to 3:30. I didn't realize using the lounge would be a problem and really felt Air2Sea-aka choice air should have advised me.
  16. I am not comfortable with the bottles being refilled. Is it sanitary?
  17. Well things do change. Had a problem with air2sea for an upcoming celebrity cruise. We booked through air 2sea a Delta flight- but learned after our Jan flight home, that we couldn't check our luggage if the flight was more then 5 hours away- we also cannot use the sky lounge until 3 hours before our scheduled flight- in Fort Lauderdale. We used them again for a March cruise paid in full in December- we couldn't change without paying a hefty fee of $200 pp. We fly first class and the airlines said no problem but since we booked with a third party they had to make the change- they would as a courtesy as we already paid in full. The original time of the flight had changed multiple times over the past few months- but we didn't think anything of it until our January flight- While I like the idea of not paying airfare in full before cruise payment is due, it really wasn't worth it. Didn't save money, spent more. We didn't want to go on a tour after the cruise nor use a hotel for a day in ft. lauderdale- Since no more luggage valet program which would have spared us dragging the luggage around, never again. Celebrity and Royal please bring back the luggage valet program.
  18. In a Royal Suite, you used to get free monogrammed bathrobes, they changed to monogrammed PJ's. On our last Equinox cruise in a Royal suite we got nothing- but the typical Royal suite perks- we always leave the cheesy slippers. Not only are they cheap, but you can slip and fall with them so be careful.
  19. We had to change our flight and we paid additional. You can only use the Delta lounge (if room) no more then 3 hours before your scheduled flight. That was ft lauderdale, and I assume rules apply to all lounges. You will be off the ship by 9 AM the latest.
  20. Not a fan- we are celebrity elite plus and have sailed on all classes of ships. Blu was ok on the S and M class ships, but IMO not on the edge class ships. Poor location in the middle of a hallway. Food ok, not great. I would book a well located balcony cabin and with the money saved, dine in specialty restaurants nightly. Good packages are available. If cc is cheap- book that and specialty restaurants. This will give you the extra points. We didn't use the other "amenities" of the AQ cabins.
  21. Not on the apex. Honestly we had breakfast in luminae, occassional lunch but mostly in the retreat. Dinner in the specialty restaurants. While people in luminae great, cindy the hostess and nino our waiter food imo good not great. We are going on the apex again in march, in a suite and will have dinner in specialty restaurants
  22. We actually dined in the Cosmopolitan restaurant and it was really nice. Service very good nice table for two- food very good- pleasantly suprised.
